Im expecting good things from this game Ive seen gameplay footage and read the previews and all that and it loks like a decent game

@Shadeblack: I do remember that the Japanese edition of RE was called Biohazard. I even agree that it sounds like a much better title than Resident Evil. I'll even agree there have been a few of the RE games that have not been so great. I disliked Code Veronica and Nemesis a great deal. However, RE1 and RE2 were hands down the greatest games I have ever played on a Sony console system other than Final Fantasy games. I really wished the RE games would go back to their original puzzle survivor type games. Those were amazing. I did like the laser sighting concept in RE 4 though. That was brilliant. So as loyal and dedicated RE player and fan, I will expect nothing but greatness from this game. I also want this game more than games such as Killzone 2 because I am just bored of FPS games right now. I had played CoD 4 for over hundreds of hours in the past. I still need something new to PS3 to come out that is NOT a FPS game. They get boring very quickly in my opinion.

FPS can get EXTREMELY boring if the online sucks. But Killzone 2 has awesome online.
I must say RE5 fell short of my high expectations. I played it on 360, so the controls sucked (cuz of 360 controller), but it just didnt feel 10/10.
The textures were crap, but it was on 360 ( meaning ps3 version MIGHT look better).
I cant quite say what it was about it, but it just SLIGHTLY fell short.
Again, i played it on 360, PS3 version might be better.

I agree Parnakas. If the online sucks then they are boring. I originally LOVED the online play of CoD 4, but after so much it gets boring. I have yet to play another fps that had any good online play.

Well you did play it on the 360, so that explains the poor controls. Also, you CANNOT judge a game by its beta form. I cannot stress that point to enough people in these forums. If you judge a game by the beta, then you will consistently be disappointed. I was on R2 beta, which was alright at best. Then I rent the actual game from Blockbuster, and find out it was horrible. It was the bad taste that was left in my mouth from that beta, that I quit playing betas altogether. I have refused to even “look” at RE5 betas bc I will not let them disappoint me. Then again I have liked all of the RE games, some more than others.

it wasnt a beta. A beta means game is still in dev.

it was a DEMO meaning the game was complete. I played the demo on my friends XBL, and the Psn version of the demo is coming Feb 5th (i think).

I hate betas as welll, but i feel DEMOS give you a good idea of what the game is going to be like.

I agree with you though that betas suck.

No that argument is in another forum. In fact, one person posted a comment from Wikipedia with a huge page of scientific categories. In fact, the post is so large that it literally takes an entire page up, lol.

My psn is edge4eva32. However, be patient with me online. I am waiting of Sony to send me a box to send my PS3 to them for repairs. Last time I sent it to them it took 11 days to get it back. So I may not be online alot the next 2 weeks. But hopefully if they get it right this time and fix the problem then I will be back online in no time

lyk i sed MIGHT be a rumur. i got let down loads of times with these damn rumurs lyk KZ2: first it was planned for february 2008 then september 2008 thn november 2008 and now 27 february 2009. ive spent a whole year based on rumurs for KZ2 so i aint getting my hopes up until SCEE announces it personaly
