Here's a link to see all of the “worst” gadgets that have came out during the last years, it appears that “Sony” made a lot of crap by having 3 items in that list xD.

btw I dont think that those Sony's items aren't crap IMO. (UMD, Eyetoy, Memory Stick Pro Duo)

eyetoy is amazing and it was made in 2002 still kicks the wii's ass i love eyetoy and why don't they make another play game it was awesome bring back beating up ninjas and washing windows

Suprised Xbox is not on there…

Anyway, some of those gadgets aren't bad IMO. Like the Segway, I used it and liked it. PS Eyetoy, I love that thing! My friend had that on release and I still hold the record on the ninja fighting game! This may sound fanboy-ish but all of Sony's gadgets were made for a reason.

Exmp. UMD, what else are they going to put in a portable gaming device? The guy is probably a Nintendo fanboy cause he didn't mention the DS thing (not that I don't like it but it pretty much does the same thing as UMD)

Memory Stick, since there is soo many Cellphones coming out every day they have to make new Memory Sticks.

NeoTune iPod Dockable Headphones, I know this is not Sony's but seems like a great idea to me. I always unplug the cable from my iPhone and the Headphones by accident.

i think UMD were pretty rubbish, they couldn't store that much info and had long loading times imo the backup iso's i downloaded were quicker to play even though they had the probability of crashing.the only thing i liked about the umd was the fact i could turn the psp off and on and still be where i was when i turned the game off, oh umd also seemed to get broken/scratched more easier than ds games for me aswelll

I can definately agree with the UMDs being a faliure. they were too fragile, and broke on me all the time. The memory stick was also a complete pain in the arse. Why couldn't they just stick to SD cards?

WTF!!! Segways are awesome!! yes, they are expensive, but they are really fun to use, and are a breakthrough in technology. I have used one several times.. i would totally buy one, if i had the money, and i knew i wouldnt be frowned upon by society.

I agree UMD's were an epic fail as were Sony's MiniDisc's but the ultimate fail and probably the most expensive fail to come will be Microsoft's project Natal. It ruins the idea of gaming and i can't believe a genuine gamer would like it as a future to gaming, overpriced too at $200

i dunno, i think it will be quite good but theres so many things that have to be perfect;

lighting

background noise

room space

distance from camera

the actual price of natal and the games themselves

so unless microsoft address those issues this thing is gonna be like the eyetoy was, fun at start but in the end a expensive webcam

on the topic of natal and this ps3 gem thingy i really dont see the point especially with the natal costing $200 you could buy a wii for that price and it does motion control much better than a very expensive eyetoy

Lol on the list.

I totally agree about Nokia N-Gage,but the memory Stick is just fine.

As for the UMD….Not the best thing but definitely not the worst.

Xbox's big High Def disc drive thing, for $100.. the disc format “high def” was supposed to kill blu-ray, but as we can see, blu-ray is still around, and where is high def Microsoft? hmmm? Feel bad for all the losers who bought this..
