December 10, 2009 at 1:25 am #52082barkiemailmanMemberOh my god… the very 1st reason is even wrong. The battery in the controllers IS replaceable. Anyways, Yahoo sucks…how they even still have a .com address is beyond me.
One question as well, are they even allowed to print that kind of misinformation as “news”? Surely if I put up a news story about xbox 360's having a 95% chance of catching on fire after 59 minutes of use, microsoft would make me take that down.
December 10, 2009 at 1:27 am #52083Ratchet525Memberanyone know how to email Sony? I think we need to show them this shit and take it down cause many will not buy the ps3.
December 10, 2009 at 1:52 am #52087barkiemailmanMemberLOL, yeah, you should email sony and notify them of it. Nobody uses yahoo anyways, so I doubt it'll hurt sales.
Google Sony and go to their homepage. THere will be a 'contact us' button there somewhere. I can't post a link, because you have to go to the dot com address whereas I go to dot ca.
December 10, 2009 at 2:00 am #52088The GeneralMemberYa man, email them.
I use Yahoo. Well, for fantasy sports
December 10, 2009 at 2:06 am #52089barkiemailmanMemberFantasy Sports?? What is that?
Is it like a Victoria Secret Foxy Boxing match in your living room? Sponsored by Captain Morgan Rum and KY Jelly? If thats the case, I'm headin' to yahoo right now!
December 10, 2009 at 2:16 am #52093The GeneralMemberHAHA!!! Nah, man.
Bball, football, hockey, F1, baseball, etc…
December 10, 2009 at 2:16 am #52094Ratchet525MemberNo “contact us” button
December 10, 2009 at 2:23 am #52095czesionyoMemberI don't know if tis was added right after th article was posted but they have a correction now – it is right under the article:
===
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that the controller for the Sony Playstation 3 is glued shut; it's screwed shut, but the manufacturer recommends never removing the screws and never removing the battery until disposing of the controller and recycling the battery. The article also didn't specify that the battery in question is rechargeable.
===
Anyway – Yahoo still sux hard.
December 10, 2009 at 2:33 am #52098parnakasMemberSo, they dont want you to buy a PS3 because you can't change the batteries, even though my controllers battery has lasted 3 years, with A LOT of usage?
strange…
By the time you keep buying those AA batteries for your other controllers to last the same amount of time as a PS3 one, the cost of a PS3 controller is still much cheaper.
Fail Yahoo.. Fail.
December 10, 2009 at 4:06 am #52104barkiemailmanMemberAh here we go. http://www.us.playstation.com/…..anuals/PS3

Fail Yahoo.. Fail.
My thoughts exactly. I've had four controllers since first getting my PS3, and have yet to have the batteries fail. Plus, you can still play with it wired to the hardware, should the batteries ever actually fail. My problem is more with my left analog sticking in a slightly up position… my characters drift forward reeeaaaallly reeeeaaaallly sloooooooooowwwwwwwly………………
December 10, 2009 at 5:15 pm #52117emdeepeeMemberMost controllers failed when people hurled them at the wall in anger playing W@W on Veteran
December 10, 2009 at 6:22 pm #52118XeroTheGreatMemberWow. Yahoo want to have a rant at the PS3, and have a go at the controllers? How sad. I find the battery on my controller will last for days on end, and that controller has been dropped so many times, yet it still works perfectly. I think that having to use AA batteries for controllers is a pain in the ass. The Xbox 360 has a massive death rate, among loads of other problems, but the best thing they could find wrong with the PS3 was controllers. Yahoo = Fail…
