Well I don’t quite know if you guys are talking bout solo’s from GH or something but here are my faves:
Needled 24/7 – Children Of Bodom
Any In Flames song as the lead guitar is quite classicly styled.
The End – The Doors (As the guitar sounds like a sitar)
Knights Of Cydonia – Muse (Matt Bellamy = GENIUS)
And Afterlife – A7X (Despite the fact I find them to be total sXe wemos with no talent).
But despite all this……………………..
BASSISTS (ME!) FTW!!!!March 1, 2010 at 9:52 am #58582black_SNAKE101Membernovember rain- guns n roses, oh and goddamit tommy i thought i was the only one with that avatar lol

Naw.. just kidding, bass is proper!
And i totally agree with what you said earlier, Matt Bellamy really is a genius, he is so unique and innovative.

March 1, 2010 at 11:51 pm #58655parnakasMemberIf anyone likes acoustic lead parts,
Check out:
Bedroom Acoustics – Muse. Has a really cool feel to it, and its a bit tricky to learn.
The Rain Song – Led Zeppelin. Brilliance. That is all.
March 2, 2010 at 1:21 am #58674SpudchipMemberI can’t stand Muse’s newest album for some reason.

You have to understand what they are trying to do. There is a lot more piano work, and the album is way more layered than the others, its more instrumentally focused, and its self-produced. But then again, if you don't like it, then hey, you just don't like it.
I couldn't stand First Impressions of Earth by The Strokes when it came out, because it was way more metal than their other albums, but i kept listening to it, and it grew on me, and i really liked it. btw, i love the Strokes!
Another really cool lead guitar song:
Warsaw Or The Last Breath You Take After You Give Up – Them Crooked Vultures.
This song has a great riff, and the solo in the middle section is really well done!March 2, 2010 at 3:05 am #58699SpudchipMemberI do understand what their doing and I give them props for that, concept was good but I didn’t really like the execution however I do like the united states of eurasia because of the arabian influence.
I LOVE the strokes, reptilia is my fave!March 3, 2010 at 2:54 am #58757parnakasMemberSpudchip said:

Reptilia? Its all about Someday and New York City Cop (When it Started) lol!!
I actually rather like the lead guitar in Heart In A Cage by the Strokes, its nothing amazing or difficult, but it is very fun to play!

The End Has No End made me cry lol.March 4, 2010 at 10:53 am #58868Antony19MemberThe song that has the best guitar in the world Motorhead Ace of Spades
March 4, 2010 at 3:21 pm #58869TomTom12992MemberI really like the intro to Spirit of the Radio by Rush.
and @ Parnakas
I really wouldnt consider Paige the best guitarist, I would put Clapton over him any day. Its just the fact that he is amazing with both the Electric and Acoustic and he can play so many different types of music.March 4, 2010 at 11:26 pm #58918parnakasMemberTomTom12992 said:

Clapton? Oh you mean that unoriginal guy who jacks everyone elses riffs? Over Page? Sure..
I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion and whatnot, but Page would destroy Clapton on Acoustic. Look up Bron-Yr-Aur. Clapton would cry if he had to play that.
As for Electric, Page is waaayyy more innovative, and more diverse than Clapton, who can really only play basic stuff, nothing challenging.
Page can play way more types of music then Clapton. Listen to Physical Graffiti, so many different genres on that album, its ridiculous.
