How did I get the impression there was gonna be an Alien Invasion Mode?  I read that on a website at least a few months ago.

Coincedentally, about 2 weeks ago I told a guy I work with that was the reason I was buying the game and he replied “What??? There won't be anything like nazi zombies in MW2″…and then 2 days ater I talked to him again and he was like “Oh, you were right – there's going to be an 'alien invasion' mode in MW2” so that is apparently a bad rumor thats going around the internet somewhere.

BTW Aztec, you can't fairly say that a new nazi zombies like mode would have been an “Epic Fail”. there are LOADS of people that love Nazi zombies and bought all the map packs for those alone.

No it's not out here yet either. I work at a game store so I picked up my copy already. I haven't bothered playing it yet cuz I was waiting to be allowed to play online so I could play 

ALIEN INVASION

….which apparently does not exist. Theres a long deranged line of expletives that I'll choose to omit here to save admin the trouble of banning me. Let's just say –> I'm most displeased.

…Yeah, I'm not joking. I never liked the CoD series (nothing personal, I just don't like war games), and the ONLY thing that I liked about playing CoD is playing nazi zombies, and I only started playing that after the 3rd map pack came out. This time I wanted to be up to date with “alien Invasion” so that really is the only reason I bought it.

Well, there goes that “Looking forward to 11.10.09” feeling that I had for the past month. Maybe I'll just sell it for a $10 loss for $50. Any takers???

No alien invasion mode???? Thats the only reason I bought the game. Aw nuts.

It's easy to get caught up with trying to get a certain trophy that you'll just get later anyways. Just finish the game for now and do as many of the quests as you can. You can ALWAYS go back in this game. On my 1st playthrough I never even noticed that claptrap there.

Anyways that was a general response…but all the same it will help ya. For that claptrap you CAN'T get it on your fist visit to old haven. After you leave you get more quests later that send you back to old haven and you can get it then. There will be a quest that lowers the trapped claptraps cage and then the damaged one is in a building close to the weapons vending machine.

…..I also enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and any breed of dog whom, when full grown, weigh less than 14 pounds. That, and Resident Evil 4 (finally, a serious response).

All bickering about L4D VS Dead Rising aside…..What resurrected this old topic? In response to the initial post: Yeah, I guess that hads been confirmed as a rumor and L4D won't be coming to PS3 LOL. 

Fortunately, if you don't have a 360, you're not missing out on too much. I rented L4D a few months ago and theres no substance to it. Its a pretty fun game, but it's just basically an arcade game. You turn it on and all the levels are already unlocked (I think…there were at least 4) and you pick what level you want to play and play it. Credits roll after that level is over, and then it's back to the main menu to rinse and repeat.

Oh yeah, and concerning Gabe Newell – that guy really makes himself out to be an idiot with that “I can't figure out how to make games run on PS3 because it's too complicated” attitude. All other companies are making great games for PS3 and he's too lazy to try.
