I'm all about the stealth aspect of the game… the first one did it really well and was challenging too. MGS4 really let me down with having very little gameplay, I wanted way more sneaking missions than it delivered – so I'm ready for more and I think Manhunt would be a great way to go, since it won't burden itself down with insanely large amounts of unecessary story line.
BigWoopMagazineMemberyea, you definitely get your money's worth for each $10 pack – I guess $30 in one hit is a bit hefty, which is why I recommend General Knox, I think you'll get the most out of that, with the new level cap, weapons, vehicles, etc… I think these dlc packs are the best I've ever seen on PS3. They totally blow everything else out of the water thats going for a similar price.
BigWoopMagazineMemberPixel Junk Shooter. uhhhhh…. thats pretty much it. I think Flower has been out longer than 6 months.
March 30, 2010 at 4:10 pm in reply to: WTF… Sony to begin charging EVERYONE for PSN come this Fall?!?! #60397BigWoopMagazineMemberApril's Fools is an American “holiday” (sort of) that was originally the Pagan new year. Christians who hated the pagans changed their new years to the day we now celebrate it on, and then made fun of the pagans who continued to celebrate it when they normally did, calling them april's fools. So no, it is not commonly celebrated anywhere else, that I know of. Also, I find it interesting they never tried this on the chinese… I guess they felt outnumbered.
This story itself is BS though, sony representatives have stated numerous times that the premium service will be optional and in addition to the features that already exist for free. key word – NUMEROUS. not once, but many, many times. Therefore I don't believe this. At any other time of year this would be dubbed unfounded rumor, rather than april fools joke.
March 29, 2010 at 9:42 pm in reply to: Spartansstandtall.com-What I think of it **SPLOILERS** #60361BigWoopMagazineMemberDLC dude – I'm calling it right there. Its a countdown to the announcement of DLC – whether its a set time or number of plats earned it doesn't matter – its just a matter of time. I'm willing to bet its a set time, since going based on number of plats but showing no actual ticker would be so much wasted code. I'm also willing to bet we'll never know which it was. DLC looks like multiplayer from the site, but it probably isn't – Its probably the things that ended up cut from the full game due to time constraints. At one point it was mentioned that more titan battles were planned but never made it to the full game because it was too much content, but that if they did DLC they'd like to do that and do it for free – which is hopefully the case, and seems like the most likely thing to happen.
EDIT: although,, probably without the free part. I hope it is free – that would be freakin' sweet.
BigWoopMagazineMemberohhhhhhhhhhhhh now I get it! sorry, now I feel stupid. especially since I don't own this – but I have the demo!!
BigWoopMagazineMemberin the demo???
BigWoopMagazineMemberI don't understand what you're asking for? Help with the demo? Is the demo even still functioning?
BigWoopMagazineMemberFor the record I've never been a fan of the DLC prices for any CoD game.
@Tommyflop – don't tell me what to do. I'll moan if I want to moan – the thread is “thoughts and feelings” and those are my thoughts and feelings. You're damn right I won't buy it. And I would play CoD4, but I loaned it to some jerk who never returned it.
BigWoopMagazineMember@Parnakas – puzzles are never difficult anymore. According to a Mr. Pachter – “Gamers don't want to have to think”. ::::raise middle finger::::

I played a gig yesterday, and we finished right before Earth Hour. Then we just walked around downtown. And then i played GoW3 when it was finished.
And i heard that if everything in the world turned off power for 24 hours, the atmosphere would heal itself by 80%!
Also, unfortunately, that is a total load of BS. For the record, the atmosphere can't “heal itself”. Its not a living breathing entity, and ozone isn't exactly easy to produce. So, on that note, saving the “earth's power” (really its our power) is only slowing the damage slightly as long as we remain reliant on fossil fuels for energy, which is where the real issue lies. If you really want to do something for the earth, please lobby for clean energy like nuclear power. If you are against nuclear power, I highly recommend doing some more research on it before buying into the incredibly hypocritical propaganda that is often times spread by “ecologically concerned programs” or other uninformed environmentalists (primarily Green Peace). Or ask me and I'll write you a 15 page essay on the common myths of nuclear power and the truth behind it.

As it seems we are fighting on a city now and not in a small spaceship
Hope that doesn't take away from the experience. I quite liked the claustrophic feeling of being on the Ishimura.
I did not… in fact, that was a big issue for me. Once you figured out how to kill the necromorphs, the game really just became a matter of killing them before you ran out of hallway to back up in. Most of the battles were so straight forward because of this, and the most fun ones were in the open rooms – they were way more intense and scary, since they could come from any direction instead of just directly in front of you. What sucked was that in the large rooms you realize how stiff the movement was, and it became a huge detriment in the fight. In the GI special they talk about how there will be much larger areas, which the enemy AI will use to its advantage (distracting you while others sneak up behind you, etc), and Isaacs new improved mobility will work well with those environments. Hopefully this is in fact the case.
BigWoopMagazineMemberI don't usually bump topics, but just in the hopes of getting people to play this some more, or whatever. I haven't seen anyone playing this that said they would – but maybe its just different time zones? I play this game still more than anything else I own – so hit me up. Currently : Level 61 Siren, Level 40 Beserker, Level 10 Soldier, No Hunter yet.
Also – there is a glitch in General Knoxx's Armory I could use help with. An error has occured for me on the mission “Its Like Christmas”, because apparently someone in my public game used a glitch I was unaware of. As a result my second objective is checked but the first one isn't, and I can't progress and complete it. If someone hosts the game who hasn't completed it yet, we can beat it legitimately, and this will solve my problem. Any help would be highly appreciated!
BigWoopMagazineMemberConsidering that they are still planning on releasing a 4th DLC pack, and haven't announced the date of it yet, it would have to come after that, if ever. It might be nice to release such a thing, but they could just as easily release a PSN bundle that has all 4 (or however many there ends up being) for a price thats lower than buying them all seperate. Also, the 3rd DLC is by far the best so far, if you haven't tried it, I totally recommend it.
