MemberOrestes – it forced you to play hard? i haven't even looked at the difficulty honestly, I assumed I was on normal. If thats the case, then yeah it doesn't seem to hard so far. I usually like it when its a challenge on normal because I'm learning the game, and then a challenge on hard because I'm perfecting my use of the game mechanics. the health regen is fine with me if its well balanced, its just when games like prince of persia take it to an extreme where you can't die that I get annoyed. too easy.
Domba – the trophies do look different so far, but I only had 5% as of finishing last night, so it doesn't mean that some of them aren't duplicate or similar. I can give you a better description tomorrow, as I'm sure I'll earn a few tonight.

Memberyeah I tend to be good first in most games, I guess I just like being a hero. I work in a hospital, and don't get that feeling,,, so at the end of the day its kinda nice. And yeah I'm forgiving about those problems too, since it doesn't effect me in the missions really, just when I'm going for those shards. I suppose it provides a unique, if unintended, challenge. I think one of my favorite things so far is getting good speed on the rails and shooting enemies, and then leaping off with the thunder drop into a crowd of people/enemies. its just sooooo badass!

Memberhmm that sucks. thats when you gotta get e-bay admins involved, its a pain in the ass but usually works out. I haven't done e-bay in years, but when I did I never had a problem, sorry to hear that. When you say in Cro, you mean Croatia? and besides rental stores, theres no rental services? like where they mail you the game and you mail it back?

MemberI would have never bothered with this if it wasn't free, since I played the pc version for free a long time ago,,, but, I will never argue with a free game. I played a little single player, and its so-so, a good time waster if I really have nothing better to do… however, over this weekend I had some friends over and some beer, and wow, with four drunken people this game is a total blast! Its so rediculous, simple, and light hearted, even the girls loved it and they normally loath us turning on the video games. sorry for those who paid, but thank you sprint for the freebie! keep 'em coming!

MemberWow thats expensive! I pay 60USD or less for my games on release day, which is what I did yesterday for Infamous. I would E-bay or just rent games if I were you domba… go for a gamefly type of service. I feel like paying $60 here is already too expensive sometimes and you're paying almost double. Infamous is one of those games that looks like it has enough exploration and side missions etc, its hopefully worth full price. At this point though, Uncharted you should be able to find used for a decent price, its pretty old, and dead space and LBP the same, although they aren't as old. If you can't get a good used price, wait for Uncharted 2, or just get Infamous now.

Memberbest ps2 game? not by a long shot dood… off the top of my head, all 3 prince of persias, both god of wars, metal gear 3, ffXII, GTA San Andreas…. god I know theres tons more that are better. not that I'm saying its a bad game, but to clarify, it appears you are talking about Urban Chaos: Riot Response, which in itself was a sequel. The original riot response for the PSOne played a lot differently (for one it was tps not fps). Another sequel would have to make some serious changes and additions to be successful on a next gen console, and probably wouldn't play out the way you want it to if you're still addicted to the ps2 UC. If you're really determined on this one, go talk to Rocksteady and Eidos…

MemberInteresting. I would think they would at least give you a choice of genre… clearly rap isn't for everyone, and neither is rock or metal. Although you just can't argue with zeppelin… ahhh zeppelin… and just like that, you can't argue with free, which the article clearly states it is. Free is for me! however, I never got this e-mail from PSN, and when I click the link it gives me a country selection, and US is not on the list…. so maybe thats just for eu? I would give this a shot, even though I'm sure you're right that it will be mostly or all mainstream music.

MemberI remember twisted metal 2, you mean the cutscenes look like it… indeed, the style of things is similar, I like it, although gameinformer and some others complained (it apparently removes you from the experience). I think its a cool idea to do the cutscenes with a unique art style when everyone else is just trying their damndest to make everything realistic to the extreme.
and I agree with the hunting thing. I kinda wish the map would mark the dead drops you already found, you apparently need to be near one for the radar technique to work. also, some of the shards are hard to get to, it kinda makes me realize where the flaws are in cole wanting to grapple things almost too easily… He would keep gripping the wrong wall or pole sometimes and it would be near impossible to get positioned correctly… maybe I just need to get used to it.
Did you pick a good or evil path? I chose good, which seems more difficult to me, but it seems like the story was set up much better for it, as you have the adversity of being the underdog and trying to restore your good name, and the adversity of the actual enemies. It also seems hard to raise my karma meter, cause I keep accidentally blowing people up. I'm gonna play thru evil on hard mode, when I can just blow everything up and not care.

Memberso I got my pre-ordered game – its fantastic. I can honestly say that I was up for several hours past my bedtime, and am glad I don't have to see my boss this morning (I'm at work right now, and I'm beat). I actually had dreams about this game, it was that cool, it made my dreams cool. Thats not something I will admit to.
Anyway, the point is, I got these gigawatt blades. I didn't really notice in the videos originally, but I can tell now, its a one hit power! I thought you would be able to keep them out and combo up, but in reality you pop em out, get one hit, and they dissapear. The hit is powerful and they look cool, but I'm dissapointed I gotta pop em every time I want to use them, and theres no combos for it. I'm not really sure I'll use them too much except to fool around…
Freak – You still want that beta code? I got it for ya here

Memberoutside could work if done carefully. Have higher ground you can defend, maybe clearing bridges to open new areas, and just having different types of blockades you could repair like tall rock walls… if its completely wide open instead I think it would ruin the style of gameplay and would hope treyarch realizes this…

MemberYeah I got a Jill, Sheva, and Chris figurine, and a treasure box figurine. I can't tell if I earned this because when I signed in it was the first time in months and I already had most of the RE5 trophies, except the pro mode. I have a decent amount of resistance 2 trophies, but got nothing in home for it… But yes, I'm all about this type of reward, cause I'm definitely not paying a dollar for a virtual shirt, but would like to earn it…

Memberwow I'm amazed she reached mars. She was going full steam when that game released, but theres not much to keep me playing longer than…. 15 minutes. tops. I figured everyone else would get bored pretty quick and girl would stop dead in her tracks… now I'm gonna check out mars for… 15 minutes… tops.

yea notice all the ones we talk about on here are sequels…. I'm hoping for an original IP that will just smack us in the face and say I KICK ASS! but… who knows.
I wonder if BioShock 2 will have a multi-player aspect? that could kick it up this list a notch or two.
Dark Void or InFamous may be that original IP.. they both look great.
and yes, Bioshock 2 CONFIRMED that it will have a multiplayer aspect.
Whats Dark Void? Yay! I wonder what thats gonna be like? Plasmid battles! oh that would definitely bump it up the list for GOTY in my book.
In response to this graphical argument going on… graphics isn't everything man. Really what makes a game great is… is it fun??? MGS4 was great and all, but it was more movie than game. I felt like I was just getting into the gameplay style and it ended… with an hour and a half long movie set. With the whole UFC vs Fight Night thing, I feel like whatever game has smoother controls and a fun fight system will win, which is the very reason I love Soul Calibur games and probably won't bother with any other fighters.
Somebody mentioned prototype, and I believe that is an IP with a lot of potential. The graphics aren't the greatest so far, but one can only hope that what it lacks in graphics it makes up for in smooth controls, epic battles, and unique gameplay mechanics. I'd keep an eye on that one. It looks similar to Infamous in certain respects, and I can say for sure that Infamous is truly badass, however the shape shifting abilities if done right, could definitely one-up on the electric powers.
gow2rules – Heavy Rain? man I haven't even heard anything about that in a while, and everytime I heard anything it seems shrouded in mystery. What is the deal with this game? And is it actually releasing this year?

MemberOkay, have you seen this? the countdown ended last night… and showed,,, get this… a new countdown!!! what the hell? except now it shows a three?…. 53? MGS53? or… Solid 3?… or… what? I'm baffled.
