Yea, its a shame theres nothing scary in it.  I mean, they got the big badass monsters that are gonna eeeaaat you, which makes ya go 'holy shit thats a big gooey sunnoffabich' for a second, but the presentation of it is so not scary.  It cuts to a movie, shows you whats coming, then sets you on the fight.  shoulda just had the thing leap out suddenly.  The other thing that really detracts from any creepiness is the background music thats obviously supposed to be creepy.  any time its playing, it indicates that an enemy is still nearby.  when you kill the last one, the music goes away.  this completely eliminates any possibility of scare tactics.  AI sucks, both enemies and partner. nuff said.

Dude think about it.  When you play the first game many areas of rapture are breaking apart, barring your way to a lot of the city.  Looking through the windows you can see a lot of areas that you never reach.  Also, the big daddies can go many places a normal person cannot, like roaming outside in the ocean.  Given that, there are many places the original Big Daddy could have been that you simply never explore in the first game.  Since the developers say the other unique thing besides his ability to use plasmids is that he has a mind of his own and can think for himself, it would make sense that he's smart enough to not make his presence known unless necessary.  I really don't see any holes in that story.  My question is how did the lil sister that turns into big sister get out of rapture in the first place?  It seems like they're mindless adam hunters who wouldn't have thought of escape in the first place… and on top of that, where'd she get that really unique looking suit she wears?

I've gotten that error a million times.  Generally it is your router (even tho you reset) or your ISP, and not actually the PS3.  My solution that usually works is to unplug the router, turn off the ps3 (hard switch in the back), and unplug the ethernet wire from the ps3.  then IN THIS EXACT ORDER plug the ethernet cable in, plug the power back into the router, wait for all the little lights to go on a stablize, and once all that happens, hit the hard switch on the PS3.  If that doesn't work, I'm at a loss.  contact your ISP? if it is the update, you'll hear from me by tomorrow cause I'm leaving work now ish and gonna update as soon as I get home.

oh and they described 5 classes in the preview, but I'll have to go home and watch it again to tell you what they are, cause it was april's issue. I think. my memory sucks.

I kinda like the defense idea.  It forces you to think more about the environment you're in and the plasmids you would use for traps.  I didn't really use traps too much in the first one.  Also, it makes a lot of sense, considering you see a lot of big daddies defending a lil sister in the first game, now you jump to the other side of the fence.  Its not a prequel either, its a sequel, and takes place several years after the events of the first game.

ugly or not, it certainly would fit better on my tv stand.  however, yeah, no space for a hard drive expansion? I'll keep it in mind for when my current one burns out again…
