Any game that has a number like 4v4 8v8 or 16v16 next to it, along with multiple variations of the same game type, is ranked. They're generally the first matches you will see when you enter a server, does that help?
I play socom almost daily and I love it. yes it had a horrific start, but it's got it's feet under it and it's an extremely entertaining title, though I'll admit, not for everyone. Give it a rent and see what you think.
