MemberIn all honesty ALL of the previous updates have been crap. Sony really isn't putting the right effort into anything they do, haha. I love my ps3, but I would love it more if Sony would fix all the problems, but they seem to add to the problems rather than fix them.
MemberI want my Resident Evil 5 platinum. Not that far from it though.

You will get all your saved game information and game data back. You will have to re-download any psn games that you have purchased. You will need to do a system update to current version bc you have to format the new hdd. The psn account info is online and is saved on the servers. NOT your ps3 (like trophies).
I have done the very same process before too when I upgraded. So I know. Let me know if you need anymore help.

ive had my 20 gb sku ps3 since day 1 but ofcourse i swapped the drive out for a 120 .. now.. ive dropped this damn system several times and even kicked it over by accident several times and it works fine… idk if im just a lucky person or whatever but i currently have 3 ps3's right now and all different sku's and havent had any problems with any of them
ive had maybe 1 friend that had the YLOD or whatever you want to call it and he had to send his ps3 back 1 time.. and another friend who had a 360 and had it fixed i think 7 times and he wants to have it fixed again but i dont really trust this guy that much
but you go ahead go buy a 360.. i admire how people have multiple ways from keeping that system from over-heating like that towel trick… funny though how microsoft is what a multi-billion dollar company and they cant make a console that wont over-heat and RROD
Just a heads up, you may want to read the date of certain posts. I did create this thread over 3 months ago, lol. The fact that you have 3 Ps3's tells me (like kingawol has mentioned) needs to get a social life. Go out and find a girlfriend. Seriously, it would help your health alot 🙂

MemberI can't believe someone is already talking rumors of a sixth installment. I am probably one of the biggest Resident Evil fans ever, and even I don't think they have planned any details of a sixth one either. Lets face it though, we know they will make a sixth one, but not this soon after the 5th one being released.
Also, I agree with Shadeblack the WoW is the largest game ever. Fallout 3 was a very large game to free roam around, but still fails by far to WoW.

Sorry to hear you had similar problems. I agree with the admin, it sounds more like a hdd issue than the blu ray drive itself. I just sold my ps3 yesterday, so i got enough from it to where i am buying a new one with a 3 year warranty, haha. i should be back online within the next week. im already having withdrawl symptoms from RE 5, haha.
MemberI couldnt agree more with Killer369. Also Im honored that I was mentioned in that list among other much better players than I. Such as Shadeblack and parnakas.
Memberoh it is definitely worth a rent at the least. Finally a survival game that you can go platinum in by playing co-op. That rocks!!!
Im working right now on upgrading most of my weapons so that when I finish the story mode, I will have the unlimited ammo for the weapons, haha. I may need your help parnakas o 5-2. This little monster keeps killing me in one stab. It sucks.

Yeah I want to do veteran first then pro. Im just now getting finished with the game on amateur. I should be done tonight or tomorrow hopefully. Then we can rock the vet and pro. Hopefully you are great at it, bc I admit im no pro, haha.
Memberhaha, i hear ya. yeah most games on the 360 can turn you off from them. the only exception would be bioshock. that game was awesome on both platforms.
I will be playing it during the evening times bc im starting a new job on tuesday. so i hope to be on during evening times like 7pm EST until whenever. Just a headsup that I wont be on for a few days during this week as im exchanging my ps3 for a new ps3 (with warranties, haha). so ill be without power for 2 days or so.
