Got the Tomb Raider plat! Those people I boosted with were actually really nice and cool for a change. Hopefully all the MP trophies unlock immediately upon starting up the PS4 version like BF4 otherwise I'll have to grind all that xp out again.
Now it's on to that god awful Vita version of LMSH…
gr8jrfanMemberI got my PS4, guys! Shit's hype as ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE***!
I got Lego Marvel for it (probably the best Lego game as of now) and I platinumed it. Then I grabbed the plat on the PS3 version because I knew where everything was. I've also been playing a lot of AC4 and I tried Resogun, both impressive. I usually go right into a Party regardless of what console I go on though, gotta love the cross game chat, right?! The mic is ass though.
I'm looking forward to playing the “Definitive” edition of Tomb Raider because I really enjoyed the singleplayer part. So in preparation, I've been grinding the multiplayer part of the trophy list on the PS3 version. I JUST finished grinding all the XP and salvage, which only took 2 days actually, and now I have to look for boosting partners because the online is DEAD. I managed to get a couple of the trophies legit but there was only a max of 3 people in a mode meant for 16 and I couldn't even find a single lobby for the last 2 ranked modes so…
Do any of you happen to have a copy of TR and want to help me out? I'd get you all the trophies but no xp boosting. I'd prefer to do this with people I trust but it looks like I'm not going to get much of a choice… It'd probably take a maximum of 4 hours, probably'll take much less. Consider it, dudes!
gr8jrfanMemberHave you guys seen the new Amazing Spider Man 2 trailer?!! I think the general concensus of the first one that it was a steaming pile of shit and I totally agree but this one looks hype as FCUK! It looks like everything I actually wanted out of the first one and I think Denzel might agree with me on that actually. First for everything maybe! It honestly looks like they might've looked at his post of him tearing apart the first one because…
AHHH! Just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Kq4s0GPfE
And they have Jason from The Place Beyond the Pines as Harry Osborn! Cool!
gr8jrfanMemberBeen pretty busy recently. I've taken to hitting the gym everyday after school now Tuesday-Sunday, with the sessions that last up to two hours with my best friend so it's actually pretty enjoyable. I want results though, and I'm getting them for sure. I want to be able to break Ricky-oh in half by the end of it essentially.
But when I get time to game, I've been getting serious about going for the GTAV platinum. I started my singleplayer save over because I didn't wait to do the assassination missions on my first run and I missed out on some serious dough. I ended up funneling the end game $30 million on all three characters into the stock market that you fix in your favor for the assassination missions and I ended up with a return of $120 million for all three. In addition to the $30 mill. Damn. So after I did that, I purchased almost all the properties (including DAT GOLF COURSE) and now I make a million weekly, it's insane. I just wanted to hold off on the last properties though cos I want Michael to have all the theaters cos he loves movies so much I have 85% regained too, I didn't mind doing it over because all the heists have two approaches each and the game's honestly fun and immersive as hell in my opinion. I plan on getting the ufo parts back tomorrow and a couple of the misc. friend activities and whatnot out of the way.
The VGAs or VGX for dumb gross “Xtreme” Dew&doritos xboxone titanfall spectacular edition will be on tomorrow. I'd tune in solely because there could be some pretty hype announcements and every now and then they get a joke or two that I honestly appreciate. Most are bad though. And it is kinda the official GOTY award kinda, it'll be what the general public sees as it anyways so vote if you care at all lol. I needed to make sure Troy Baker gets the credit he deserves but apparently the voice category is the Troy Baker award so pick his best role I guess!
gr8jrfanMemberAfraid I got Revelations and 3 done not too long ago with some cool ladies and gentlemen that are still on my friend list. They're both pretty easy honestly in comparison to Brotherhood. The only trophies that you actually need to even do with a small team of people are the DLC ones because in Revelations you can do a majority in private matches and Wolfpack mode in AC3. (It's like mp but against bots and it's the best way to level up alone because it's so damn easy).
But when do you plan on doing Black Flag though? I'll probably be getting a PS4 within a month or two so if it's not immediate, you can count me in, amigo!

gr8jrfanMemberPortal 2 was 2011 dude. Like early 2011 too. It came out the day of the PSN outage. Forgot about Dishonored, still need to play Journey. I guess not all the nominations this year are for everyone but I've enjoyed all of them so far.

Finished off B:TS pretty quickly (by my standards anyway) so gonna load up Wolf Amongst Us. Reckon I can get that and the Burial At Sea DLC knocked out pretty sharpish too.
Ahhh! How did you like The Wolf Among Us? I thought it was. So. Fcuking. Awesome. The art style and noir like everything it's just so amazing. When's episode 2? I need it in my life!! I didn't know what to expect, I just trusted telltale and MAN was that a smart idea.
So for the most part, I've been busy with this girl but ah whatever, I'm done with that bullshit for now. To let you guys know how long I actually lasted, I believe the date on my last platinum was when I asked her out so yeah… Again, whatever lol. When was the last time I posted? There's no way I can include everything I skimmed over in these last couple months. But I'll try seeing as how this site's still as small and adminless as ever
GTA5 lived up to my lofty expectations. Man the GOTY awards are going to be interesting this year. This year was so good with all these amazing ass titles AND the PS4. Such a step up from last year which had what? Far Cry 3, TWD, Sleeping Dogs and RE6? Eh. These games are coming out faster than I can even finish them where last year there would be like three consecutive months without buying a new game. It'll probably boil down to TLOU vs. GTA5 but it doesn't matter. I think this entire year has just been radical, and with the PS4, I'm still optimistic for 2014.
Batman Arkham Origins was really fun when I did my first playthrough, but oh my GOD did I realize how disapointing it really is the second time through. The Dark Knight challenge system completely screwed up and sucked out all the fun I originally had with it. The Worst Nightmare track strips you of all your freedom, because there is only ONE room where you can get Rank 6, and it's in the story. So if you're like me, or most Batman fun-loving people in the world, you just wanted to beat the story and get whatever side content you could on the way, paying NO attention to the DK challenges. Because why would you ever assume they would put missable challenges in an open world game where there are constantly enemies walking around on rooftops and the streets that count in the experience system as fcuking predator encounters not count as predator encounters for the DK system? UGHH. It's hard to explain unless you actually are aware of the Worst Nightmare track. But hey, props to Troy Baker, who did a really competent Joker surprisingly. He's been killing it, he's Booker DeWitt, Joel, the Joker, and Hawkeye and Loki in Lego Marvel in this year alone.
Lego Marvel though… I really need to try Lego LOTR because otherwise I'd say this was the best Lego game since Batman 2. The story was nice and the open world has a lot that's just fun to get lost in. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of any of the jokes this time, especially that god awful schawarma gag A lot of the characters feel really good, the most realistic that you can get to play as some of these dudes sadly enough. Like Iron Man feels exactly like how you'd think he'd actually play if that makes sense? It's hard to put into words, it's a feel haha. And the way Loki fights and dances around his sceptar and Hulk's run and Cap's shield throw, it just all feels exactly like how I always wanted, and that's worth the price of admission alone if you ever wanted to play a good game with the Avengers. It's absolutely baffling to me that the Lego team can nail the feel of playing as Iron Man more than the actual Iron Man 2 game. But I guess it shouldn't be since they're actually halfway competent. Try it out if you haven't already, people. I'd definitely say it's a good “first lego game” too if that's what's holding you back. Get it to play as your favorite Avenger, everyone loves them, they probably nailed exactly how you imagined their likeness would be.
I have 46 golden bricks and 50 character tokens to go. Just unlocked Stan Lee and Deadpool. Those two put a huge smile on my face
But that's mostly it. Remember life's most important lesson, people: Bros before hos!

Team up Capt. America with Human Torch
I'm sorry but what's the joke on this one? Is this like a reference to some Captain America comic that I wish I read in my childhood? This trophy sold a hell of a lot of PS4 controllers too haha

Thor: The Dark World
Enjoyed this despite the occasional dull bits. Quite humorous throughout and was surprised how much of it was set in London! My only gripe is the villain. Bland, bland, bland but that might just be due to my dislike of Christopher Ecclestone.
Totally agree with you. Man, I loved how Loki stole the show and how much better it was compared to the snooze-fest that was the first Thor. Can't wait for Winter Soldier dude.
gr8jrfanMemberSuperBestFriendCast Episode 15… Lol no but seriously:
I've been listening to Hopsin-Rip Your Heart Out (feat. Tech N9ne) for a week now. One more week to Knock Madness! He's been promising this since Ill Mind 4! Sooooo hyped

The medbay cannot revive dead people.
Except that it literally does… And this isn't bitching. This is discussion and pointing out plot holes and inconsistencies.
gr8jrfanMemberI saw a preview for Prisoners and a few others that piqued my interest when I saw Elysium a week ago. It looks pretty awesome too, I think. Huge Jacked Man reminded me of Joel in TLOU.
gr8jrfanMemberAh Denzel, give me some credit here. I know both Neil Bloomkamp and Sharlto are from South Africa. That's where District 9 takes place and I had to see if that was a coincidence after all. I don't think that's Sharlto's real accent though. I'm pretty sure Wikus's accent is his, it sounds more realistic. That bounty hunter from Elysium's voice is just that with a higher pitch, it sounds like he's manipulating his voice more in that. I'm glad to see you didn't defend the grenade scene. Up until that point, I was giving the movie a chance. When I stopped, it would've given me a bunch of problems to overlook even if I still desperately wanted to enjoy it anyway.
I realize that the love interest wouldn't revive Jodie Foster but what's stopping someone else from saving her? After all, they saved the antagonist hours after his head blew up and at that point, nobody knew she was conspiring to take over. And for the data surge, I realize that fried his brain but it's still intact. If a grenade can blow a man's flesh off all the way down to the skeleton then a surge that puts him to sleep makes the latter unrevivable? The key rule apparently, based off what the merc said when he revived the antagonist is that the brain must be intact. Matt's brain's intact, it's just empty. What's stopping him from being revived with no memories until somebody tells him who he is or something? I wouldn't even be nitpicking at this shit if they didn't put that stupidass rule in. They could've killed off Sharlto and had Jodie Foster be the bad guy for the final act but they just had to put that shit in.
So apparently what I'm getting out of this is that Elysium is much more of a good film if you approach it figuratively and symbolically, rather than literally like I did. Apparently if you don't have your hopes too high and you're willing to look past a few gaping flaws, you can still have a good time with a flawed movie, sort of like I did with Man of Steel. Or maybe, most importantly, what I gained out of this is that we both are intolerant to laziness, but in different situations. I dunno, maybe you're right and I'm wrong or I'm right and you're wrong but the fact that we're disputing it proves that it wasn't universally clear.
But yeah, see Elysium again and look out for that black cock pacifier. I'm 99% sure that it was never mentioned beforehand and if you're looking at it figuratively it says that Matt Damon has a deep throat.

So last night myself, Nathan, Kris and Ben decided to tackle the ensemble trophy for the zombies map Buried. The lads had hinted that this was one of the trickier trophies but after chewing up the rest of the trophy list I felt pretty confident…
Foolish mortal…
The game took my misplaced confidence and proceded to kick it in the penis for EIGHT SHITTING HOURS!!!! That's EIGHT HOURS in ONE GAME!!!! Without having to restart even once we still only reached round 16!
As The Coalition we have met our share of ridiculous requirements in our zombie journey but never has patience been tested so! Punching signs, following glowing fart, dodging crusty banshees, randomly placed levers in a hedgemaze (A hilarious two hours spent playing with those coloured dildos) until finally we arrived at the 'piéce de résistance'; pop-up target cowboys located in four parts of the map. Cue over three hours of four (by now extremely tired, frustrated and disillusioned) gobshites trying to memorise the order, timing, and location of roughly twenty targets each. Then hit every one. Together. One miss by a single member meant a restart. Three and a half hours of restarts broken only by ammo runs, toilet breaks and occasional flurries of lag.
This shit will wake haunt my fcuking dreams. I woke up today panicking that I had to grab the power-up before it disappeared!
This post is perfect. I sent this to Ben and we were both cracking up. And I don't see the harm in having the auction house there. It's there for the people that want to use it. If you don't want to use it, don't. It's like microtransactions: so long as we're not forced into doing it, then I don't see the harm in them being there for the people that want it.
Anyway, a lot has happened in gr8jrfanland, so I'll have to just make everything really short so I don't write a novel like in the movie thread. I went on vacation a week ago and I didn't play any of the Vita games I originally thought I would've. I spent whatever little time I had on the Vita on the shitty DS port of Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 and the outstanding Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. I highly recommend everyone with a Vita to check this out. The puzzles are really clever and fun and the story is highly interesting and genius. I'm constantly guessing as I try to solve the mysteries in the story sections. I haven't played a game this intriguing in years. So yeah, get it, you nerds!
When I got back I spent a majority of my time on Saints Row IV. It's better than SR3 but not as good as Saints Row 2 in my opinion. Being a president was actually really underwhelming. You only get to be the Commander In Chief for a mission before a plot twist that, let's just say, makes that title pretty meaningless. They shouldn't have advertised it as “the president game”, they should've advertised it as “the superhero game” because it's basically the greatest the Flash game ever created. The superpowers are all great but it actually does make the game a bit too easy and makes a lot of features pretty pointless since you're already God, basically. Like why on earth would I ever call homies for backup, use vehicles that are slower than sprint speed, customize a vehicle, or use anything other than the Dubstep Gun or Black Hole Gun? If they're going to put these OP weapons and powers in they should've saved them for later on to feel like a reward rather than right at the start, killing all challenge. But those are just my problems with it, the game's actually hilarious, it's still a ton of fun in SP or co-op (also makes the game easier. Anyone with the option should for the activities), and the activities are hella improved from SR3, oh my god! The ones in SR3 were awful but at least half of these are actually pretty fun! Sadly, there's no more than one gang to take down but Zinyak's a pretty badass villain and the Simulation throws in a couple surprises in from time to time I haven't personally played SR1 but I can say anyone that played any of the past games should be delighted to see all the references. (God, I love SR2) The references don't stop there too; there's references to Aliens, Terminator, the Matrix, Mortal Kombat, and tons of other shit I haven't heard of! But all in all, it adds problems but also addresses past ones and it's own improvements. Saints Row 4 is a lot better than Saints Row 3.
And lastly, I'm playing the PS3 version of LHP2 and holy shit, is it an improvement on 1-4 and the Vita version. I can tell I'm going to be enjoying my time a lot better than the last 2 lego games I played!
EDIT: Shit, I guess this is a novel. Oh well.
