@shadeblack
Fair point. In hindsight that reads a damn sight harsher than I had intended. I live with Gnilsia so you can rest assured it was meant in jest. I probably should have thrown in some smileys to tone it down. Passive swearing doesn’t translate well in text…I773D33MABL3MemberIs it only with those two games or are all your discs giving you the same result?
I773D33MABL3MemberI got a stack of books from Amazon recently and I have to recommend the author Stan Nicholls. His ‘Orcs’ series is just quality reading. It’s a serious storyline but the characters will have you laughing your ass off. I read the first three books in as many days and I’m hoping the next two last longer because I don’t want to reach the end.
I also picked up Bram Stoker’s Dracula. After seeing so many versions of it on film I decided I’d go back to the beginning and enjoy the story as it was originally intended.
@Gnilsia“story books”?!?!
Are you a fcucking five-year-old? Maybe if you opened one every now and then you’d discover the word ‘novel’. You spend all your time reading those fancy computer manuals and you still can’t fix the resolution on my fcuking PC!!!!I773D33MABL3Member‘Distant Cries of Cranes’ by Drudkh
I773D33MABL3MemberThere’s no real meaning behind mine, it just reads Irredeemable. Two of my friends that I was living with at the time went with I773V37SIBL3 (Irreversible) and I773P73SSIBL3 (Irrepressible). I was also living with Gnilsia but he went with the (previously explained) poofy option.
I773D33MABL3MemberDoes anyone feel that this 3D nonsense is basically being kicked down our throats? It seems to be in every article I read and it all feels a bit rushed considering that most people haven’t even gone hi-def yet. Most people that don’t game aren’t going to upgrade their TV for the paltry range of hi-def channels on offer and I can’t see the change to 3d being any quicker.
Companies seem to be falling over themselves to be the first to get the technology on the market but considering the examples we’ve seen, is anyone impressed?I773D33MABL3MemberMy Terminator Salvation plat. Simply because it meant I never had to play the game again.
I773D33MABL3MemberI've been having the same problems with my PS3s. Trophies show up when I check my trophy collection but it takes about a day for them to turn up on my trophy card. I haven't had any trophies disappear though. Even when I cross consoles they all eventually turn up. I earned a few trophies on one PS3 and they wouldn't show, but when I synced on the other they were there.
PSN also seems to be having issues with friends lists. I played my brother online but when I checked the list it said he hadn't been on for three days and his PS3 was showing me as not being online for months.
I don't know if it's related or not but I haven't been able to get Vidzone to work on any of my PS3s in months. Anybody else having problems with it?
I773D33MABL3MemberA tough call to make considering the quality of the games coming to us. I think Bad Company 2 is my most anticipated multiplayer game and I'm gonna go with Dante's Inferno for singleplayer. The team behind the visuals on dead Space were born to re-create Hell and I can't wait to see how the whole thing turns out.

“GET THE FCUK OUT. >_>”
“I said GTFO because he’s being an arse.”
“Leave.”
“so you can stop being such a hipocritical twat and go post elsewhere.”
“Own the place? Telling new members members what to do? What the hell man?!”
Consistent stuff…
I have absolutely no issue with you defending a friend of yours, hence why I didn’t take you up on your earlier posts directed at Gnilsia (whom I do know). I thought he was wrong to drag a fight that started elsewhere into this topic (even jokingly) and, in truth, he was always going to get a deserved backlash. But when someone makes an attempt to retract what they said and try and calm things down, yet still get flak for it then I have a problem with that. Especially if the aforementioned flak is just a rant populated with insults.I773D33MABL3Member@kingofallgames73
“Where do the children play-Cat Stevens”Absolute genius. When it comes to music I’m a thorough-blood extreme metal-head but that song just demands to be appreciated. Years ahead of it’s time, it’s still as relevant today as it was when it was written.
I773D33MABL3MemberThat's some statement. Nicely dodging the pitfalls of reality and substance.
Most of the older members are doing their best to calm the mood around here and avoid hitting any more nerves in order to return the forum to the “friendly and welcoming” place it was when they arrived. An example of this being the very level-headed response from Mr CoryAllen at the top of this page. Reading between the lines I'm sure any intelligent person can pick up on the “let's not have this thread turn into another war” vibe.
You, however, seem to have decided you own the place, and have a say in who stays and goes. That your post count entitles you to tell newer members what to do. I wonder how long that fantasy will last before you realise nobody gives a sh*t.
Gnilsia's first post was fairly harsh sounding but he tried to diffuse it when he saw the reaction it got. That tends not to be the behaviour of a “troll”. And if you'd bothered to read some of his earliest posts you'd see that not only has he actually been here for months but that he usually just comes here looking for trophy help.
“Trolls”, “Noobs”. Buzzwords might mean something to a pre-teen nerd, but most people tend to recognise them for the horsesh*t they are.
In an attempt to stay on topic I'm going to give the Trine OST a plug. There's not much of it but it manages to capture the feeling of the classic adventure side-scroller while still succeeding as a modern piece of music.
I773D33MABL3Member“One thing is for sure we need threads to be more about games rather than off-topic crap , some of it is good fun but it just dominates this site”
Very true. I think the only real downturn on this site was when the place was getting spammed with nonsense threads about people’s favourite cheese and ice-cream. That sh*t was an exercise in tedium.I773D33MABL3MemberIt's the cover off 'The Gathering Wilderness' by Primordial; the greatest Irish band ever!!
