MemberNot all PS3s are backwards compatable. As far as I know it's only the 60gig version. It's the reason I stick with it even though it's the most unreliable model (I'm on my third).
I don't go back to too many of my PS2 games, just the three Silent Hill games that came out on it and Forbidden Siren 1 and 2. I tend to go further back to the PS1 titles: Hogs of War, Warzone 2100 and Re-Loaded to name a few.
MemberPS3 works out at a lot cheaper as a complete package. I'm not sure what the current price range is for 360 extras is but I know when my friend got his console he forked out an extra couple of hundred Euro to get the HD drive, wireless card and charger packs for the controllers. PS3 comes with all that as standard, so I can live with the price being slightly higher.

MemberIt’s pretty easy. You’ll find the option for it in account management on your PS3. Sony will only deactivate your account if you have returned five consoles. I had my account on three returns and a couple of friends’ and I wasn’t told about de-activating my account until I tried to put it onto my new one. I phoned Sony and their attitude is that you shouldn’t have your account on anyone’s PS3 but your own so I was told to de-activate one of my friends PS3s.
MemberYou can. But if you go too far in the story then you won't be able to hand over the audio logs. And as far as I know, when you go to the southern territory any friends you didn't rescue in the north disappear.
MemberHire me isn’t as bad as it seems at first. Try to avoid racing the developer’s ghosts. Watch their route and see where you can take a faster one. They’ve rarely taken the fastest route through the track and tend to switch depending on their vehicle. Champion is simply perseverance. Again, try to avoid simply racing the AI. Find the bends and short cuts where you gain ground and maximise them. Something I noticed when playing the later races was that if I was in second place, first took off like a missile and even if I raced a perfect race I could never catch up. However, if I hung around fourth place, the three ahead of me tended to bunch up and drive at a far more reasonable speed. That theory isn’t proven but look out for it. Legend is a nightmare and I’m still gouging away at it.
MemberThe ten timed challenges trophy is needed to get the plat. It was the last one I got. But I don't know what this bike glitch is. I've heard a few people mention it yet I got the bike trophies first and had no problems. If you think it has glitched then copy your game onto a memory stick, delete the save on your PS3 and start a new game. Do the timed challenges on a clean slate and after you get the trophy copy your original save back onto the PS3.
MemberThanks for the info guys. Unfortunately backing up my hard-drive isn’t an issue as the death of my (second!) PS3 took all my data with it. I’ll be starting from scratch again so I thought I’d upgrade the hard-drive straight away.
MemberI would assume if the room is full then they can’t join in to see what you’re doing. If you set up a game for eight players and got your friends to fill it up then you shouldn’t have a problem.
MemberQuite a few of you guys have replaced your hard-drives with bigger ones, it’s something I’m going to do with my latest PS3 and I was wondering what would be a reasonable size? I know the PS3 is compatible with some pretty large hard drives but “compatible with” doesn’t always equate to “function properly”.
MemberMotorstorm 2. The online trophies for reaching certain ranks are a nightmare to get because your % goes down if you have a bad race. You can have a few good races and then come last in one and end up lower than you started. And even if you place well, if the guys below you are low ranks you get barely anything. Not to mention the fact that if you don’t finish a race (freezing, network errors) you automatically lose 5%. I only need three trophies for the plat. The last two ranks and 50 casual races. I decided to leave the 50 races to last so, for once, the last trophy I need can be a relaxing one…
