Indeed, the game has too many mixed reviews. Guess reviewers aren't agreeing on the core components of the game. Though, if you'd simply do the average of them, you should get a 7/10 which in my book, is quite decent.
I don't like the game sounds though since their the same used in the AVP movies; which were very lame. I would've preferred the game to simply IGNORE the AVP movies since they badly sucked and just focus on the movies that truly mattered.
As for the level design, most reviews hit the spot as its supposed to be badly designed. Many review sites mention that same con so it must be valid. Other sites also mentions bad mechanics and poor controls (for consoles version).
Again, mostly all review were done on X360… I would expect the same kind of review for the PS3 but a PC review would be welcomed. Rebellion did stated that they focused more on the PC version… I'm eager to confirm that.
So far, ratings goes as this:
Gamespy gives: 2.5/5
Gamespot gives: 5.5/10
IGN UK gives: 8.5/10
IGN US gives: 7/10
GameInformer gives: 5.75/10
GamesRadar gives: 8/10If any would like to follow the ratings (if you care), have a look at http://www.gamestats.com
Think I'm gonna get it anyways, on PS3 since my dinosaur-of-a-PC won't run it for sure. And well, I did wanted a new PC but with current life issues, it'll have to wait. Well, one day, I shall experience this game on the way its meant to be played… As for the Hunter's Edition, it seemed tempting at first but I don't much care now. My EBGAMES store didn't had any in order and probably didn't received any. I should get a look tonight if they got one, if not, not too bad.
Sure, the game must be felt quite disappointing from the previous AVP games, but it should provide fans and other gamers, the fun game play for quite a time… till a better game comes out, which should be real soon.
Hope this help you Tridon!
LIKEUCAREMemberOk, nevermind for the last post… I just Platinum that game with all DLCs.
Peace
LIKEUCAREMemberQuestion: Anyone who got that Trophy: “[Winter] I fly only first class”, how do you obtain it? I’ve redone that new DLC twice and it’s the only missing trophy I still cannot obtain.

Thanks for the feedback guys!
I went to that site and it's mentioned that if you input some codes, the game disables the achievements. Guess it will probably be the same on the PS3 version, hence, I don't think it's worth it using any codes till I Plat this game up… if I do Plat it… those 500 kills trophies are a pain and takes ages…

I got an other question while at it… That grapple move, how do you do it exactly? On some site, they only say what buttons to press to activate it, but no info about the range of the target. Do you gotta had unlocked some combos before? Does it require some force powers? Do you just “hug” the target then press these combos?
Grapple moves
Grapple 1: Press Triangle + Circle.
Grapple 2: Press X + Square.- Last question, what would be the favored Force Powers/Talents/Combos to use and upgrade quickly in a Sith Master mode?
- Thanks again for all the help!
LIKEUCAREMemberHello there guys! Got a quickie question about this game. As you know, in the game menu, you can input codes. I've done some searching and it is used to unlock some costumes and cheats.
Now, my question is: Will the trophies be blocked like Grand Theft Auto IV if I do input a code to unlock a costume? what about the cheat codes (could help get those pesky 500 kills)?
I suspect they might be blocked for the cheats, but for the costumes… would seem unlikely unless they boost the character somehow.
Thanks for the info!
PS. I've got the Ultimate Sith Edition fully updated to latest patch… if that can help you help me…
