Has to be the almighty MUSE!!!
NinjaMidgetMemberyeah most retailers are still retailing it at £45, which is pretty ok!
What I heard to begin with was that Activision was trying to get retailers to raise their price to around £55. Bob Kotick even said he would raise this price again!
NinjaMidgetMemberFund corporate greed if you want, i'm just pointing out the facts of a company that should try to stay on the good side of it's consumers instead of pissing half of us off. Not a lot of people are happy about having to spend £15 extra on a game that should be the same price as all others. It may be a call of duty game but rockstar didn't raise the price of GTA, EA didn't raise the price of any of its sports games Capcom didn't raise the price of Resi 5.
We are in a recession here guys, people dont have the money they did a few years ago to spend on games anymore. Activision need to learn this.
NinjaMidgetMemberI dont know how much MW2 has increased in the states but over in the UK, the rrp has increased by £15! Thats quite a bit!
It's also the fact that Activision is being incredibly greedy. Of course it's within their rights to raise the prices of computer games, but with a game that they expect to sell over 10 million copies, I think thats a little extreme!
And if we look at it from parents views for Christmas. Some kids get a few games for Christmas but I'm sure parents will be a tad reluctant to spend more money on top of MW2, so game sales of other IP's wil go down (this would explain the mass exodus of games to 2010 though!)
Another look at this is pure hypocrisy on Activisions part. They said to sony to lower the price of the PS3, but some of their collectors editions already cost about the same price as a Wii or Eggbox or bout half the price of a PS3. So it's very hypocritical of them to start raising the prices of their games so they can milk the public for all their worth!
The thing is, I cant wait for MW2, Infinity Ward are a great company and have made a steller game, and it sucks that quite a few people are going to pirate the game and get it used to spite Activision. Even though in all likelyhood the petition wont work, hopefully it will give Activision an eye opener as to what their consumers are thinking instead of their shoddy attempts at market research!
Also, I dont like the way they handled the Brutal Legend case. The dropped the project, then told the developers that they owed them development time. Thats like firing somebody, then saying to them you want some of the money you earned from them back!
Apologies for the essay though!
NinjaMidgetMemberagain tom tom, thats another place i might get it, is people selling it on amazon for cheap.
i'll definately get the game but not so it might benefit activision.
but yeah im also looking forward to it, but not as much as uncharted or bioshock!
NinjaMidgetMemberA game like MW2 wont come down in price after only a couple of weeks, we've all seen that Activision are a greedy company they wont back lower the price after a week, it'll be after months.
The only way I'm getting this game is when someone trades it in, that way Activision dont get my hard earned cash!!!
NinjaMidgetMemberlol, i think quite a few levels will just be a track made entirely of sheep!
NinjaMidgetMemberthey are adding an alien sort of level called area 69 (hee hee!)
your wish has been granted!
NinjaMidgetMemberthey are however making a crapload of pain levels that soon there will be no point to creating your own level!
NinjaMidgetMemberapparently he only has a cameo role in MW2 so dont fret guys! lol
NinjaMidgetMemberyour on to a winner there ratchet!!!
NinjaMidgetMemberoh yeah gow rocked, but i think its exciting that this sort of genre might be picking up steam if mod nation racers becomes a success!
what else could come under the play create share genre?!?
NinjaMidgetMemberi think some of the special edition stuff just isn't worth the money, like the fallout 3 special editions (although i picked it up for £20 somewhere!)
but the special editions for gow for example are a must!
and im pretty sure if i had a plush sackboy my girlfriend would go crazy for it!!
she doesn't seem to mind the videogames or the videogame collectibles or the dead hookers in the basement…
NinjaMidgetMemberpersonally this my favourite game at e3, being able to make levels as easy if not easier that littlebigplanet! and im so happy that its full retail and not a d/l game!
cant wait, this goes on the awesome list!
NinjaMidgetMemberyeah go pick raven if you need all the help you can get, the rest of us can pick sver because we're just that awesome!!!
