basically SONY have 2 offer the normal free rate, as thats their flagship reason 2 buy a ps3.
I dont think it'l be that much, basically it'd mean that for your £30 a year, you are getting purely ectra content, whereas on 360 your £40 includes content with a better run internet service. I know some debate it, but with the money 360 take in with every1 online, they defo do have more money to maintain their servers. etc.
I'd imagine it'd be more like £20, max.
as for £20 you would get a lot of content of Playstation store.Yeah, my 60gb used 2 jet out loads of hot air.
i had 2 put the tele very loud 2 sound over the loud fans . lol
i got a LBP beta, but i tried 2 share my Uncharted 2 and i think that didnt work…

Has anyone done this? i want 2 know what it does exactly, cos ii dont really want my wall 2 be filled with each single trophy i've got

Those were the two vids i used, but if u want2, search around a bit on youtube. There are loads of videos on taking consoles apart etc.

Some games require too much effort and stress on the cpu of the ps3. MW2 seems to be requiring much more than any other game on the market. So the fact that so many people are playing MW2, would mean much more YLOD. Hence, for trophy hoarders, just play long enough to get plat then sell mw2 before it crashes your ps3 lol. I just got plat on it, and now selling my game.
its defo weird… if any game were to enhance the probability of Ylod, i'd have thought a game like GTA would be, or another very heavily detailed game, not MW2.
yeah, lol, well its well out ov warranty then, and cos its a 60gb there is no emergency release disk function, pretty much the same position as i was in
The way i saw it, there were only 2 options :
- Ring up sony, and pay £128 to part exchange your broken console for another refurbished console (i saw this as pretty pointless, as although sony will send ur disc back, you only get 3 months warranty on the new refurb. 1, meaning it could well YLOD again.)
OR……..
- Take the console open, try to get the disc out by following youtube vid. and start afresh with a new console. Its very annoying, as you've lost the console, but if ur careful u can get the disk out, took me about an hour 2 get the console stripped down to the board, then only to find out this attempted fix Ylod method requires a heat gun 😛 lol, but the bluray drive is easyish 2 get 2, and not that hard to open.
The way i saw it was i had nothing 2 lose, so i might aswell try 2 save my disc. But obv. this is your judgement, if u want 2 defo save ur disc and get a refurb console, or DIY and get disc out…

i personally believe its everybody replacing their HDD's lol you buy a console to play games, not take it apart and change it people! theyre not meant to be taken apart.. if you want more memory buy an external HDD so you dont f**k your ps3 up.. its not rocket science.. externals are USB and same price, if not less

Just 2 say – i got YLOD, with MW2, and live in UK. but i had never opened my console, or replaced my HDD.
My theory is that although the Ps3s are more vulnerable to YLOD each time they opened, the most common problem is purely having a 60gb console.@rebren – How old is your console?
-wot size HDD is it?
-have u opened it up in any form?
With those questions u can at least answer some questions, for example if its 60gb, the only way u can get your MW2 out is to open it up, get to the bluray drive and start opening that up (rather dodgy, although if you are resorting to this, make sure u watch this guy on YouTube (”gilksy” i think) as its a lot of help. – he reckons he fixes YLODs, but its a lot of hassle to make an unstable system work again!.Also, i managed to open up my Blu ray drive and take MW2 out without scatching the disk or breaking the drive, although if its in warranty i strongly advise against this 🙂 ) whereas if its 40gb/80gb u can simply use the “emergency eject” function to get the disk out
oops, lol, will have 2 stop before i end up writing an essay! have 2 back this guy up tbh – Teated my console with a lot of TLC. but broke. Sony sent me a dodgy refurbished one (with only 3 months warranty) that was a joke.
Just bought my slim, but also went HMV and bought 3 year warranty for £25. not riskin it
i heard that it is, but im not sure. Lol, tbh it cud be related, they might be releasing several items of content 2getha.

Just 1 thing, : When sum1 says “goin 4 Headshots”, I assume they just do what i do. – if u ever outflank an opponent, instead of getting carried away tryin 2 let them see u tbagging them on the killcam, i just go 4 a headshot. Or instead of knifing, sometimes just chance it goin 4 a H/S.
If it is that, i dont have any problem, when reading the above posts, i initiallly thought ppl were refering 2 caging

well i got a nuke, called it in straight away and got a 29 killstreak therefore it adds the kills off the nuke!
