I'm just glad they brought him back at all, despite it being an admittedly cheap move. I kinda thought he was done in R&C3, so to see him come back at all was fine enough. But wait, I don't remember him being completely obliterated or anything. Yeah, his space station blew up, but how many hundreds of times has a villain's lair blown up with the villain inside, but they come back for the sequel anyway? And even if he did get broken a bit, he's a robot. Even though he's my favorite, I wouldn't want him to come back again.
Aaaanyyyywaaaay, this game… There just really wasn't enough combat or enough levels in the game. The Hoverboots were cool, but they didn't do a lot of cool things with them. There's Krell Canyon, a few of the moons, and the last boss, but that's about it. Space combat was pretty cool though. Although after a while, it did get a little repetitive. You defeated the enemies in almost the exact same way. Nothing really changed with them at all.
I noticed the pacing of the game was a lot slower than previous Ratchet games. It takes hours for the game to get some momentum. The game feels like a big tutorial until you get to Axiom City. They had the weapons spread out nicely though. I wish they hadn't shown you the final armor design so early though. That was really anti-climactic when I found out there wasn't going to be an extra upgrade in challenge mode or anything. Also, in previous Ratchet games, when you upgraded a weapon to level 5, it changed appearance AND added significant functionality. In this game, there's hardly any added functionality. The Sonic Eruptor stays exactly the same aside from the facelift. A handful of other weapons simple add some sort of small explosion with the attack. That's not a lot of incentive to upgrade the weapons and it's really anti-climactic to see level 5 and have almost nothing happen.
So overall, this feels like the most casual Ratchet since the first game, even with Lord Vorselon. Even the arena matches are more simple and lackluster. The skill points are intact though. Those are basically as good as ever. Gold bolts were good and Zoni collecting was interesting. People complain about the weapon selection, but I think it's fairly decent. Not as good as some games, but the Constructo weapons were pretty neat. Then there's the Cryomine Glove which offsets the brilliance of the Constructo weapons. Seriously. Be more useless, Cryomine. You can't replace the Groovitron. Even the Mag-net Launcher at least causes damage and it's faster and more accurate.
So yeah, obviously not my favorite in the series, but I don't regret the time I've put into it. If I weren't such a fanboy, though, I probably wouldn't like this game much at all.
Seibei4211MemberFor the trust trophy, you have to play single player. Play the game like normal and every time Sheva gives you something, hit O to thank her, give her ammo, save her from Dying/Help, thank her when she saves you from Dying/Help, heal her, thank her for healing you, etc. You'll eventually get it.
Seibei4211MemberScythids, Crimson Lance, Larva Worm thingy, and man, the Guardians are kickass. I'm only at level 31 right now, but those are the enemies I can remember in addition to to BigWoop's four.
Seibei4211MemberOne of those spoilers was just not even a spoiler. The other one, however…yeah. I dunno. I guess that does ruin a good portion of the game. But whatever. Once we beat the game, it won't matter anyway.
Seibei4211MemberMy friend was just mentioning that that happened to him, too. He said he has the check mark as if he bought it, but he's got the crossed circle saying it's unavailable or something. And he's only like level 24 or something.
Seibei4211MemberI was a little pissed that they released the Clank demo first like that. By the time the Ratchet demo's out, I'll already have the game. Also, I spent more time downloading the demo than I spent actually playing it. It's neat and all, like the time bombs, graphics, etc, but it's still a Clank section. Can't wait for some Ratchet on Tuesday.

Can someone tell me how to equip my revenge booster?
When I click 'x' on Slot 1 it says nothing equipped but then won't give me the option to actually equip it
First, you have to buy it for $100k+. Secondly, it's your 2nd booster slot.
Seibei4211MemberShoot at the shield until they hold it up at an angle, then either shoot their feet or run up to them and do the Square, Square combo. And as far as grenades go, it's better to throw it a little bit in front of them. They usually walk over it and if they don't, it usually gets them anyway. I think shotguns work pretty well on them, too.
Seibei4211MemberI don't see how an extra round would make it any easier unless you had a group of people who SUCKED on the other team to rack up the kills.
40 per game? 20 per round? That's a little bit average, isn't it?
Seibei4211MemberI shouldn't have to say this since it mentions the ending in the title, but spoilers.
Remember when Elena got hit with the grenade? Why is it that all of a sudden she's not this godly and invincible being? I'm pretty sure she got hit with more grenades at closer range than that during some of our fights. Reminds me of FFVII. Why didn't they just use a Phoenix Down? Same concept.
Seibei4211MemberDitto with that hand-to-hand combat thing. I have no idea what's up with that. Draza pissed me off in Crushing. Impossible to counter that fool. The only times I was allowed to counter was during slow-mo.
But anyway, those guardians aren't so bad. Staying on the move, hammering bullets into their face until they start rushing you, run-and-gunning, etc, until one dies. Once one dies, the other goes day much quicker since you can use the Crossbow. Two good hits and they're usually down. That's the only smart way to go about those fights.
Seibei4211MemberI started out using the Marksman, but I eventually started using nothing but Carbine. Seemed to work pretty well for me.

ive got a glitch in 10000 kills too..ive only gotten 9900 but ive already got the trophy..
Try turning off your internet and looking at your profile stats again. You'll probably have the 10k or at least a higher number. For whatever reason, being online does that.
Seibei4211MemberI really wanna get this game, but Uncharted 2, man… And depending on how long I play that, I might have to get Ratchet first, too.
Seibei4211MemberYeah, I wouldn't assume Hale's dead. I mean, he's like the ultimate chimera now, right? So a simple head explosion seems like something he could regenerate easily. Maybe. I kinda hope he's a last boss since that'd be pretty awesome. Oh man, can't wait for this one. I wonder how they're gonna top Resistance 2.
