You're not the only one. I'm on your side with Dishonored. It's one of my favorite games. It's the perfect kind of stealth for me.
Seibei4211MemberStop crying. Get yourself together, man.
Seibei4211MemberLego Star Wars III. Truly the hypest game I've played in a while. It was one of those games where I didn't want to sleep because I wanted to keep playing forever.
Seibei4211MemberSo I've learned about the Firefly/Hunter trophies. It's essentially an online campaign that requires you to keep survivors alive for 84 days (which translates into 84 matches of MP). Each match is 15 minutes. If your survivors die before hitting 84 days, you lose and have to start over. If you get disconnected from a match or quit or lose, your survivors can get sick and you'll have to do even better in the next round to heal them. Your success is heavily dependent upon you AND your team doing well. There are only two game modes. In a perfect world, it'll be 42 hours of MP.
More info: The more survivors you have, the more supplies you need to keep them healthy. So when you get down to your last handful of survivors, it becomes easier to keep them alive. So it'd be pretty hard to flat out lose, unless you disconnected when you only had one dude left or something. Also, one of the two game modes is one where you only get one life, so it's probably not good for getting lots of supplies. And apparently you can get supplies without even really killing anyone. You can just run around and pick them up. As long as you meet your quota, your people will survive.
Seibei4211MemberHDDs I know are upgradable. And although neither Microsoft nor Sony have explicitly detailed how transferring accounts is gonna work, I would imagine it's gonna happen because Xbox Live and PS+ are supposed to transfer. How would they do that if you couldn't transfer accounts, right?
Seibei4211MemberWell, I purposely excluded Battlefield and Diablo's PS4 release date hasn't been announced, apparently. Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed IV will be out in 2013, too, but whatever. Apparently The Walking Dead Season 2 will be on PS4 in 2013, which is surprising. I was hoping The Witness would be out in 2013, and maybe it will be, but I don't think it's been confirmed yet. A lot of the other multi-gen games are coming out in 2014, such as Hohokum, Dying Light, and The Evil Within. In any case, if I'm able to get a PS4 on launch, I'd go for that. The games'll come in due time.
Seibei4211MemberWow, there really isn't that much in 2013 for the PS4. Killzone, Driveclub, Watch Dogs, and Wolfenstein. 2014 will be pretty good though. So maybe there's really not much of a rush to get a PS4 just yet. Whenever they decide to release FFXV or KHIII, that's my deadline.
Seibei4211MemberI think a lot of people totally didn't catch the part about PS+ being necessary for online MP. I think people were too distracted by all the other awesome stuff. Anyway, at least they're simply doing something that Microsoft is already doing instead of being worse in some way. Microsoft doesn't provide much benefit for being a Live member, while PS+ is pretty much amazing. It's gotten to the point now where most people on my friends list already have it anyway. Also, PS+ is still cheaper than Live anyway. And now Live is trying to do the Instant Games Collection, except on a smaller scale. Two per month, right? Whereas PS+ does about 4 per month, with at least 12 being on offer at any given moment. All this adds up to be a very easy math problem.
Edit: Oh, and the DriveClub thing is apparently the “Plus Edition”, so I reckon it's some stripped down or beta version of the game. Still pretty cool to do that, though. Like a super demo. And Outlast is gonna be free!
Seibei4211MemberYou're absolutely right, emdeepee! I guess they do dedicate more time towards making a decent game rather than worrying about trophy lists!
Seibei4211MemberOk, see, now this makes 8 difficulty trophies even worse. When I saw that list they put out recently, I assumed it was just part of the list. But no, there's really only 24 trophies in the game, including the Plat. So 8 are difficulty trophies, 10 have the word “all” or “every” in it, 1 is hidden, and 2 are MP. Unless the “Complete the Hunter/Firefly journey” trophies are MP, too. I thought after 3 decent Uncharted lists, they'd have this figured out by now.
Seibei4211MemberYeah, I'm sure they'll stack, it's just that it's dedicating 16% of the trophy list to difficulty trophies instead of more interesting things, which is bloody lame.
Seibei4211MemberThe single player trophies are also kind of annoying. Lots of collectibles trophies, there's one that's like the Tomb Raider one for hearing all optional conversations, and there's EIGHT difficulty trophies. Easy, Normal, Hard, Survivor, and a + version for each.
Seibei4211MemberWish they didn't put so many dumb MP trophies in it though. I'm surprised they didn't just do the Uncharted thing of “just play a couple of matches”.
Seibei4211MemberYeah, most of the HD remakes I've played have been for nostalgia's sake. Jak 3 and Ico were the first times I had played those though. Anyway, when I was 4 or whatever I watched someone play Duke Nukem and thought that was pretty cool. That's the only experience I've had with that genre of shooter. It's also why I was hoping Duke Nukem Forever would be decent.
Seibei4211MemberI know what Wolfenstein is. The only Wolfenstein game that's come out at the appropriate time for me to play it is the 2009 one. And that one apparently wasn't good. Most of the other ones came out around the time I was born. I also didn't really own any FPS games until the PS3 anyway. I was anti-FPS up until that point.
