Yeah, I liked that demo. It's especially good in comparison if you've played The 40th Day. Wanna get the full game soon.

Lost planet 2 could be a pain. I havn't looked at the list so I'm not sure if there is any online portion and if there is I'd imagine that game is dead in the water at this stage.
“Is there any online portion” he says. HA. Yeah. Yeah, there is. Lost Planet 2 is a 15-week Plat, if you're damn lucky and have some great boosting partners. But even if you had that, you'd need a world record in the game, which is now impossible.
Maybe you guys should just go for a PSN game. Joe Danger 2, anyone? It's got, like, 4 or so ultra rare trophies in the list.
Seibei4211MemberJoe Danger 2! I would not recommend this game to anyone who wants to get 100% in it. The required-for-100% DLC is ridiculously hard. But I've got it and it's done and I can get on with my life.
Seibei4211MemberYeah. It uses the PAL version of the game, I think, and in that version, it's much easier to get stumbled. I did notice that during the game. But the time limits are the same in the NTSC and PAL versions. So it's just unnecessarily harder. The bosses where you're prone to stumbling are the ones with the hardest time limits. Honestly the only way to beat some of the times to exploit the game by forcing an unbreakable grip or in the case of HTA 3, use a shortcut that you're normally not meant to use.
Although in the case of HTA 3, even if the grip and stuff was normal, I still don't know how you could possibly beat the time limit legitimately.
Seibei4211MemberI've done Vanquish before. That's the game that inspired me to make my second account. It does look fun, but the controls are a little weird. And you overheat a little more often than you would like. It's a weird game. But I did beat it, so there's that.
Edit: Yeah, SotC is great. The Platinum takes a while though. You have to do a Normal playthrough, the Normal time trials, then you essentially need to do a Normal New Game+ playthrough to get your stamina and health maxed out, cause it can't be done in one playthrough, I think. Then there's the Hard playthrough and Hard Time Attack. The HTA is where it all gets serious. Aside from the ridiculously hard time limit for one of them, there's also a number of others that take some serious skill (and sometimes luck) to beat. It's very time consuming, because the time limits are long, like, 10+ minutes, so if you mess up, it's a lot of stuff to redo. And even though the time limits are long for some, sometimes it's still really strict and you have to be quick. Those are the hardest kinds of time attacks. It's like the Chapter 2 speedrun in Mirror's Edge. 10+ minutes of being perfect.
Seibei4211MemberShadow of the Colossus is pretty good. Takes a lot of time and skill, and one insanely, stupidly difficult thing you have to do.
I'd say Alpha Protocol, because playing the game the amount of times you'd need to do is brutal in itself, but I think Kriggs already did some of it. Although he hasn't done much.
I was gonna say Bulletstorm, but Kriggs has done most of that.
Dead Rising 2's an option, but it's not nearly as hard as some of the other stuff on this list. But it is an Ultra Rare plat, and it is time consuming and takes some planning. Dunno how successful you'd be at the online stuff since it's probably dead.
As mentioned, Vanquish is a pretty good choice. Shadow of the Colossus has the same sort of deal, difficulty-wise, but SotC is actually a good game.
You could always do Lost Planet 2…
Seibei4211MemberDead Space 4 didn't get cancelled. That was all untrue, apparently. Anyway, I just don't see the point in getting mad at EA for something you should've seen coming. When Emperor Palpatine screws you over, you really only have yourself to blame for trusting him. I'll get the DLC eventually, knowing full well that it's gonna be whatever. There's a lot of DLC I'll get without thinking it's gonna be any good. I just want the 100%.
Seibei4211MemberEA released pointless DLC for a lot of money? It can't be… I won't believe it… Also, this is essentially how the DLC was for Dead Space 2. Except at least in that case it wasn't related to the story and had a cool ending sequence. But Dead Space 3 is worse than Dead Space 2, so it makes sense that the DS3 DLC is worse than the DS2 DLC, too. Didn't you buy the DLC just to get the 100% anyway? Why is it so infuriating that it was bad? I'm sure you expected it to be bad/short anyway. If you didn't, you surely should've.
Seibei4211MemberI really liked I Am Alive. I don't know how it's frustrating. I thought it was worth its full price, so I'd say it's definitely worth a discounted price. One thing about I Am Alive is that after you play it, you'll have a headstart with The Last of Us, because that game feels like a bigger, better version of I Am Alive.
Seibei4211MemberResi 5 just requires 4 people and an immunity to boredom. 30 wins in each of the 4 modes. The 2 Survivor modes each take 5 minutes for their rounds and the two Slayer modes are 3 minutes each. The Survivor and Slayer stuff can be done with 2 people, but the Team stuff needs 4. The team stuff by itself would take 4 hours, but you'd get the trophies for two people. The 2 player stuff takes 4 hours, but only one person can get the trophy at one time. 4 people could play, but there's only one winner. There's also a number of easy, miscellaneous trophies that you can get while you're griding.
Seibei4211MemberYeah, I noticed it's wider, slightly, but that isn't going to be a noticeable difference. Your hands are still going to rest at the same angle and the analog sticks and buttons are the same distance apart from each other and in the same spots. Actually, maybe the shoulder buttons are closer to the rest of the buttons. Hard to tell because the middle part's taller than it was, too. I didn't notice this before, but I think the legs on the DS4 are longer. I like that part, cause as it stands, there's not much room for the rest of my fingers. I don't think the light bar is going to make much of a weight difference at all. The DS4 is only 18 grams heavier than the DS3, and part of that must be from the overall extra size of the controller.
The 360 controller isn't bad. I've played a few games on it. It's definitely heavy, but it's big enough to be shaped in a way that is comfortable for your fingers. Before I had an Xbox, I thought I wasn't gonna like the controller because of the way the analog sticks aren't next to each other, but it's all fine when you're actually playing a game.
And about that new camera… It sure would be annoying to have all three systems at this point, cause now each one wants me to put some crap on top of my TV. I guess the Kinect will still probably be optional though, but if the next Xbox comes with a free Kinect, why not?
Yeah, the fact that Ustream is gonna do the streaming stuff has me a bit worried, too. That friggin' feed went out and lagged so many times during that presentation. It did not fill me with confidence. But maybe it'll work better on the PS4. Just have to wait and see it in action, I guess.
Seibei4211MemberI don't see what's to hate about the new controller. The shoulder buttons are improved, you've got some concave analog sticks, there's still a physical pause button, it weighs nearly the same, the feel will be about the same when you hold it, there's rubber grips on it, a built-in mic and speaker, and a headphone jack. What part of that is a step down from the old controller? If people don't like the look, I don't get it. I tend to look at the TV when I'm playing games. If the performance of the controller has improved, then truly that should be the thing that matters more.
@Doc-B: The sign in with Facebook type thing is a possible downside for me, too. However, I'd need to rewatch that part of the presentation. I know the guy mentioned that you'd still be able to use your user ID and avatar, but I don't remember to what extent you could use those. Hopefully there's some way to just opt out of using your real details. I do hate the internet's recent push to get everyone to stop being anonymous. I wonder if you could just put “Seibei4211” in the name and put an avatar as your picture though. Anyway, if Sony's thinking about doing this, I'm guessing Microsoft might be as well.
Seibei4211MemberI'm fine with no backwards compatibility. I'll just keep my PS3 just like I kept my PS2. Last time they tried to release a system with backwards compatibility, it cost $600. If sacrificing BC at launch is what it takes to keep the launch price down, then I'm all for that. Sony doesn't need a crappy launch price hurting sales like last time. I'm more interested in seeing how the PS3 streaming stuff will work. Save files aren't compatible, apparently, and it seems unlikely that you could import your PS3 disc library into streaming form. Like how would you be able to do that without being able to abuse the system? I'm guessing it'll work like PS2 Classics or something. Apparently PSN games won't be compatible either, which I guess makes sense. The PSN games are something that, in theory, should be free when it comes to streaming though, right? Because they're already tied to your account unlike disc games.
I read some more stuff about the controller. Apparently the touchpad can be “clicked”. Not sure how that works, but that's cool. It's always nice to have a little physical feedback. Rubber grips are cool. You can charge the controller when the system's off or on. And apparently that Options button is the merging of Start and Select. I wonder how that'll work. But at least the pause button's still a physical button.
Seibei4211MemberThe thing I liked about the Killzone demo was that Far Cry 3-style death from above chained into a thrown knife kill. That's one of my favorite things about Far Cry 3. I don't know if Killzone 3 had that, but if more games have takedown systems like that, that's good news for me.
Once they talked about being able to record footage, spectate/stream gameplay, briefly take control of someone else's game, and streaming games from the store, I didn't care about what they talked about next. I'm already sold. I don't even care. I was just hoping for cross-game chat, but they gave me that and quite a bit more.
Seibei4211MemberMaybe Furious 4 will be cool. I'd like to see some more news for that, but it's been relatively quiet for a long time.
