please provide more info on your setup, and i can help you out.
shadeblackParticipanti can tell you now the reason why this is happening is because of the way you have your sound setup.
how is your setup all connected?
examples
ps3 >–(hdmi)–> hdtv >–(optical)–> speakers
or
ps3 >–(hdmi)–> hdtv with inbuilt speakers.
or
ps3 >–(hdmi)–> hdtv
>–(optical)–> speakers

put simply, TV's don't like re-routing sound.
if you are re-routing the sound to your amp from your tv through hdmi originating from your ps3, you will get the problem you describe. this can be fixed by setting your ps3 sound output to hdmi with only 2.1 surround (because that's what the tv thinks the sound source is).
OR the proper way to do it:
Connect your ps3 DIRECTLY to your TV and speakers with hdmi and optical. a direct connect connection will ensure true surround when your ps3 output is set to optical with 5.1. make sure you put the correct frequency as well because setting it too high can damage the speakers. check your speaker's manual if you're unsure.
by doing either one of these, im sure you will eliminate the problem.
for additional help, please provide more details about your setup.

*I refuse to produce lossless .WAV file format as it will take up about 600mb for the album. I don't have the time or the connection speed to upload that kind of file size.
**I forgot to put it in the RAR file I had already uploaded.

are people who play on easy pussys ? or smart ? wich are you ?
Neither. People who play on easy just aren't looking for a challenge, but usually just something to occupy their time.
i don't like this comment…
you're basically saying “People who play on easy just can't be bothered, and lack the drive to play on harder difficulties.” It's negative, almost degrading and insulting.
To apply this to another example, let's say World of Warcraft – people who play on RP realms and enjoy roleplaying instead of main aim to level up and grow stronger means they can't? It insinuates they are unfit to enjoy the game in the social realistic manner as set by standardisation.

Though I'm sure you didn't mean it to sound like that, or perhaps I'm over-analysing it, but what I think would make a better statement is to say: “People who play on easy, regardless of their skill level in the genre of game in question, may perhaps be looking for something other than the often unrealistic difficulty of the game. Though the sentence is almost the same, it implements a deeper understanding of the focus group.
On a more personal level, I don't have a standard of the difficulty i set for any particular game. It depends entirely on what the game is, and what the individual difficulty setting offers in terms of game play. With Bioshock 2, I automatically put the difficulty to hard mode without vita-chambers. It's fine with me because I enjoy the challenge of getting the trophies involved, and I know from playing the first game roughly what it's going to be like.
However, let's say there were no trophies involved, and there was only a single player mode. Chances are, I would be playing it on normal, or even easy. Why? Because I've always enjoyed the story of a game far more than the game itself.
To sum up, every person is different, every game is different; and every instance of the two, is different. Whatever someone's reason for playing a game the way they want to play it, what gives anyone else the right to discredit that?
shadeblackParticipanthas my ps3 since release and never had a problem with it….
i think just because you've had some bad luck, doesn't mean the system itself is becoming a joke.
in fact, i believe the two are unrelated…
shadeblackParticipantwas playing it all day today (8th)
and i can say from what i've played so far, it's absolutely brilliant.
im playing it on hard without vita chambers 😛
shadeblackParticipantit was either sonic the hedgehog… or Golden Axe.

very nice system (ridiculously good RAM!) well worth the money i'd say! Have you tried OSX86 ? you could probs figure it out fairly easily, its a nice OS not as good as genuine Mac OS but good fun when you get it installed!
actually the ram only cost me £99. the cooler was £20 i think. which i think is great value for the speed and timings.
i forgot to mention, i have an asus VW266H 26″ 1080p monitor, and a samsung 5.1 dvd home theatre speaker system setup to go with it.
a little crowded on the desk, but worth it for the sound.
haven't tried osx86 yet. may put it on a dummy machine see how it goes. my main will always be a win-pc though. Though if it works well, I may offer it as a solution to customer's OS choice. Most open source programs are well built – especially if they get enough people contributing towards it. for now though, I'll stick with windows.
