I will have to agree with Ratchet and disagree with NUFC_noxe_killa.

The story line in the COD story lines is not original and you never really get to feel for the main character as you often jump from character to character.  It is mostly about the online play (who wants to kill computers when you can kill human controlled opponents?).   I usually only play the single player to get a feel for the controls and weapons. (and now trophies 🙂

Ratchet is a completely original story and the whole game is STORY and Character driven (unlike COD series).  Its also more family friendly and is chalk full of humour.  There is also more variety in the gameplay style. (multiple view points, shooting and racing challanges, ect…)

PS. NUFC i took you off my blocked list because i thought you could grow up… why do you feel the need to harass me over the PSN?  I would like to keep you on my list so that once Uncharted or COD comes out I could kick your ass.  But if i have to receive a message from you every day calling me a homo or queer i will have to ban you again.  I'm glad you bought a new ps3, now stfu. 

Ive played Bioshock, MGS4 and Fallout.  Best game out of the 3 by far was fallout.

Of the potential winners of GOTY 2009, I'm really pulling for Ratchet and Clank.   I think its because i've played far to many shooters and sandbox games that I am looking for something a little different.  

Of the games that have come out this year so far I would have to give the GOTY title to either:

• Street Fighter IV or Infamous

Street fighter IV looked really sharp and almost all online matches were smooth.  The game is VERY deep and complex when you get right into it and its a game that I have played since the Street Fighter 2 came out for the super Nintendo.  It also has one of the best online components of any game to date.  A ranked system, tournaments and ability to play with friends without losing rank. 

Infamous had a great feel to it.  Open world, but not to open as to overwhelm the casual player.  It's comic book animation cut scenes were refreshing and gave me a little nostalgia of the twisted metal series.  I liked the rpg element of building up the powers and choosing to be good or evil.  I found myself killing enemies while pulling off wire grinds and other sick tricks.  The climbing was really smooth. (hopefully Assassins creed 2 improves on this) and I can't wait to see how the story grows in Infamous 2.

I will buy a PSP when they make one that is a phone as well.

I can't believe that this new PSP isn't a phone.  This is time to get into that market and have a great game system combined with a phone.

What a lost opportunity for sony.

Great video. I hope the game is not as repetitive as the first one.  The climbing and jumping has got to be faster and more seamless.

EB games is offering a PS3slim for $49.99  IF you trade in your old PS3 and 2 games.

Bestbuy already has the new systems for sale but the better deal is the 160gb version with Uncharted and a rumble ps3 controller.  This is selling for $399.

Oh ya.  any idea if the new ps3 slim comes with the rumble controller?

Even though i use it rarely, its still pretty lame the newer systems are not backwards compatable.

I tried out Home and was really disapointed.  More integration with games is essentail. 

• For example.  When I put in Sacred 2 disk.  It should ask if i want to go to the Home Lobby SPECIFICALLY for this game.  There I can talk with others about the game and see if anyone wants to play.  I don't want to have to walk randomly around asking if anyone has this game.  From there we can group up.  While in game I also want the ability to exit back into the Home lobby for that game.  
• Easy and quick add to friends list from Home.  Also be able to group friends into catagories, as well as making quick 'comments' of your own beside the players for quick reference would be nice.
• Finally they need to add some benifits for trophies.  More trophies should unlock new avatars, more furnature, more clothing ect.   Create something to work for is the key.

I do think trophies for home is a great idea and would draw people in.  I don't care what its for but it should promote exploring all the features of home, making characters and YES even the running man.  If new zones and new trophies you would have more people going online to check it out.

I also like how in some games you can unlock clothing for your Home character.  This is a step in the right direction.
