I love the NHL games from EA sports and this should be no exception. Kinda reminds me of NBA JAM or the old “mutant league” series back in the Genesis days.
The only bad news I found was in this statement made by EA:
“NHL Arcade also brings the online experience players have come to expect from EA SPORTS”
Most of my online experience with EA ends with me giving up in frustration that I can’t get into a game with more than one person on Tiger Woods without the game freezing.

Can you play a friend and get trophies or RU forced to play others in ranked matches?…if so, a couple of the trophies may be hard. If you can play a friend for the trophies, it looks like you may be able to get them all inside of an hour or 2.

i got all the trophies exept for the shutout one… is this one required to be done online? i shut the comp out 5-0 but no trophy 🙁

i did complete an online ranked match but it didn’t give me the team player trophy.i hope i don’t have a trophy glitch or something.
This game is fun but kinda hard. It is exactly like NHL Hitz for the PS2
well this is some BS u have to have 4 controllers to get the team player trophy.
no you only need 3 controllers for team player
i can count the number of people i know with PS3s who have more than 2 controllers on one finger…
Yea, it kinda sucks you can only have real people on your team if the are playing on the same console.
So far I am 4-1 with my one loss being to someone who was playing with a friend over. It gives a considerable advantage as I was getting knocked around like a rag doll.

I say 4 controllers because u have to have 1 plus 3 more for 3 guests.
how the hell do u get the gold?? it wont work for me. is it 5 powerups and 5 goals (1 goal with each powerup), or 5 powerups and 1 goal?
wot a load of BS that team player trophy is . i have ova 100 friends on ps3 and not 1 of them have more then 3 controller

never mind i guess it’s 3 controllers.i thought it was 4 because it says u have to have 3 users on ur side.
Response to team player trophy BS: What would it matter if you have a hundred friends on PSN and none of them have 3 controllers?
What matters is that YOU have either:
1) three controllers
2) have two controllers and invite a friend over who can bring a controller with them
3) have one controller and invite over 2 friends to play who both have 1 controller
4) go buy 1 or 2 madcats controllers from Walmart, use them to get the trophy in this game (and Geon while you are at it) and then return the controller(s) for a full money back refund.
Oh and its only for a bronze trophy so why so upset? Its not like there is a Platinum reward for getting all the trophies. They are just trying to encourage you to play games with your friends…in real life…in person.
PS. I just kicked Germaneagle’s ass in an unranked match 10 to 1.

I mostly play in the evenings (after 6pm PST).
I got all the trophies they werent that hard but i had an awesome time doing it. i still play online.
Challenge is still open. I take on all people regardless of race,sex,age or species.
This game is on sale now. Sweet. i am thinking bout picking it up.

I beat this guy yesterday who had 2 of his buddies over. I let him get up 3-0 and then destroyed him. He even outhit me 112 to 37!
