Why is everyone complaining? it wouldn`t have hurt treyarch to include trophies with their pack but they didn`t bother (also their servers are s**t imo) at least Guerilla are bothering and i have no lag whatsoever on KZ2. also with other games “cough CoDWaW” we have to wait 4 months for some dlc! but of course the proof is indeed in the pudding we will have to wait and see how great the new maps are, it will be hard to beat radec academy….
hey guys , YOU SHOULDN’T BE BUYING THE MAPS FOR TROPHIES. imo that is silly , but to each his own. get the maps if you wanna play more online – i’ll be getting it ’cause i want the new general ranks and as kingofgames73 points out , its hard to beat radec academy , so/but anyhow it’ll make for something new , ’cause otherwise i might just have stuck with a 87% plat and Field General rank.
the new maps looks cramped and tight but you guys are right..it’s hard to match radec academy’s great layout and battlefield..
lets just hope that the $5.99 will be worth the spend.
well i’m not playing KZ these days so the maps will give it new life….

Wow I cant believe it. I have finally platinumed this game. And I am proud to say that I have proved myself wrong. It is possible to get all ribbons/badges without boosting for any of them. As I am proof of this. Today I finally got my final ribbons for air support. which was the toughest one out of the bunch. Assassin was pretty tough too,but mainly due to you have to be the one that the game randomly picks.
To all those thinking bout boosting for the rest of their badges, dont do it. Its not worth getting banned from kz2. they are possible,just gotta keep at em. I didnt think I would hear myself say it was possible as i struggled for mine for a while lol.
Also a tip for anyone who still needs the air support badge.The best levels to try and get the ribbons on I have found is Salumun market,blood graugt,and corinth crossing(if you are able to hold down the very top).For some reason on most of the other levels they either blow themselves up or just die to quick.Pyhrus rise is just to big it seems for them to do anything.

Germaneagle and I boosted all the medals/ribbons over 2 days (2-3 hours each day). With the points i earned from that combined with maybe an extra 3 hours of playing time I made it in the top 10%.
For some reason I haven’t been able to get back into the game. Took a trip to Mexico and I haven’t felt that great since returning…
That’s not good mate with the swine flu and all you should get checked out.
this game is to easy for platinum.
FYI: we were force kicked out of multiple matches by some admin. To get around this make sure to start up a 2 player match that is open to the public. Leave if someone else joins.
The new maps aren`t the best imo: Can`t stand the train one, whenever i try to snipe i die by getting hit by some moving object. The other map is ok though but is not as good as radec academy. But at least it`s a nice little change from the usual maps
seriously i liked the newmaps , just spend a cple hours checkin’ em out with mates , i loved the train map (train fan so…) and thought the other one was ok , so 6euros is too much , but me’n’2mates got it and it made me wanna play online3 again , although i’m missing 60 000 points for top rank

got back my 100%..maps so far are fun…my fave one is the vektan cruiser..the train was ok ..but felt cramped up and i always got hit by the poles when i jump between the tracks..lol
same as pobert. btw i got u back for killing me on pyrrhus ages ago by spawning behind you…and shotgun! 😀 now we’re even , lol.i always find it funny to end up with ppl you know by chance… and killing them. or -generally- getting killed.
hehe yeah i remembered that..i was just sneaking around with cloak to get kills..well it wasnt sneaking since i was killed multiple times..don’t worry,it won’t be the same as next time we meet 😉 lol

Does any of you have any good tips or strategies for beating Radec on elite difficulty. I’m stuck on him for some time now and I really want that golden trophy. It’s so frustrating that killzone on elite is fairly easy except for the last level which is fuckin difficult. The part before the palace doors really gave me the heart of the reich feeling with the endless spawning enemies.
I feel your pain Pepijntjuh. The palace was crazy for me too. The one thing that seperates that spot from the heart of the reich level in world at war is that in Dod the enemies will eventually stop coming if kill enough of them. In killzone there is no such luck. They will come forever until you get to certain points. I sat in one spot in the palace just b4 the door under the turret for nearly 1/2 hour,hoping they would stop coming or at least die down. Nope. they come continuously until you move up to the stairs at least.
As far as beating Radec part. This comes down to haveing a little bit of luck with which route the helghast take. Sometimes they leave themselves open to easy headshots and others they stay in cover constantly which makes it tough as hell. I wold suggest to use your knife when possible for 2 reasons. 1: Kills them in one hit most of the time and 2: to save ammo on your lmg. I would say the toughest part of the Radec fight is those damn knife guys.The ones with thte pointed hats. My suggestion for when those guys appear is to stick to the stairs leading up to second floor and try to knife them as they come up. Sometimes you will get lucky and they will all go up 1 side. When the rocket launcers come out,you cant not sit still at all. You have to be moving at all times. That when you have to throw grenades if have any left up to where they are or have the grenade launcher and keep launching grenades up there until the next checkpoint that you can get over there to kill the next set of rocket launchers that come out. Other than that,the only other advice I can give you is watch for helghast that are reloading and try to take them out as they cant shoot back while reloading. Sometimes it will be easy to pick them off and others will be hard as they will be covered by 1-2 other helghast. Why I say luck plays a part in if you can beat it or not.
100% Killzone 2, long time since i had it, did the DLC as well.
the controls for this game were just terrible. absolutely terrible. its not even the button mapping I mind, but the inability to aim, because even the left-right panning has a momentum to it. momentum for sprinting – cool idea; momentum for aiming – dumb as shit. anyway, theres nothing special here. great graphics. same rehashed shooter – a couple rifles, a rocket launcher, ooo a bolt gun and lightning gun, woopty doo. its not a bad game, but I just don’t see whats so great about it.
oh and the flamethrower – completely useless

They have tweajed the controls for this game not to long ago.
I too thought that the heaviness feel to the guns(although made it feel more realistic)hindered the gameplay for me. Since the control tweak though,this game has done a 180 for me.very smooth aiming now and I have become quite accurate since.
really? I may have to give it another try if thats true. I was seriously like one day away from trading it in for credit towards Infamous, but I might just at least finish it out if I can aim now. It seriously made the game just not fun… I can see why they did it, but no matter how great the graphics and AI and all that jazz are, if its not fun, I’m just not gonna force myself to do it. thanks for the heads up

yes, thanks Hypnosis, that really does make a big difference. Oddly enough, I still don’t feel motivated to finish this game, I think my original frustrations and the sheer number of shooter games I own have simply sucked the fun out of this one. Its a shame to miss out on the rest of those trophies (especially since some of them had some cool artwork), but I’m gonna trade it instead.

I Only Need the Air Support Medal and I Will Get the Platinum. I Haven’t Boosted any Medals, but its so Hard Getting Any Kills with the Air Support. Ever Since the Patch, The Air Supports Have Been Getting More Kills 4 Me. Highest Number of Kills I Got wth the Air Support is 4. Pretty Wack. They Should Have Made the Air Support Like the ATAC in Campaign or At Least Give Them Missiles.

I used the flamethrower in the fight with radec on Elite. Thanks to this guy, i completed the fight under 30 mins. ( died 3x)
