Very dissapointed with the demo guys/gals.
the controls are awkward and doesn’t feel very next gen. the enemies don’t seem scary at all and you can tell from the demo as open as game is trying to be, its in fact very linear. which again draws away from the next-gen nature new games are offering!
i was expecting way too much i think! all the build up for the game and so on…
the graphics arn’t as amazing as id hoped… probably expected too much from my high hopes… the actual game might feel a bit better playing then the demos..
but out of all the games coming out in the next 2 months, this one has gone down the must-get list from where it was!

You guys are obviously not RE fans at all, or “fans” of video games in general. It is possible that you have set standards so high that they can never be met.
First, controls. Someone said that the controls were not next gen controls. Hmmm, WRONG!!! Have you guys not noticed that the controller for the PS3 is the same as the PS2? Which is not a next gen controller period. The game controls are not much different that previous RE games, which that is a great thing in my opinion.
Secondly, graphics. Honestly the graphics were awesome. I do not know what the deal with the graphics being terrible are. It is an educated guess here that none of the individuals who complain about the graphics have a hdtv with 1080p. If they did, then they would not be complaining at all. It has much better graphics that CoD 5 by FAR!!!!
How can you guys even being to judge a game by the demo or beta versions? It CANNOT be done. I loved the demo, and I went against boycotting it save the anticipation until release date. Oh well. I still loved the demo, and I cannot wait a minute longer for the real game. Finally, a great game that is not a lame FPS game again. Really it is time to end fps games altogether. It has been overdone too many times.

I said the same things. Im a massive RE fan and when i first played it i hated the controls, (because they are alot different from RE4 and ive just completed it recently so got used to them alot), and the girl when AI is terrible at getting in your way etc.
BUT, to all the people not liking it. Give it a few goes, get used to the controls, and DEFINITELY play this with a friend! It’s sooo much better. I now love this and i am once again very hyped for this game.
I know its a CO-OP game now and i’d still prefer it to be a Single player game with real Zombies but just get on with it, it’s Still RE and is a real laugh with your mates. #

edge4eva’s repsonse was maybe a bit resievil biased i guess, but regardless… I am massive Resi evil fan, and have completed every game many times… just didn’t like the demo thats all!
didn’t seem special or anything. when you wait soooooo long for a game, especially a game as such high profile as resi evil, (and being a massive fan of it), i was just a bit dissaponited with it.
the full game, might run better and fell better to play etc. and ive played the demo a few times to see if I can adjust to it. ive got a 42 inch HDTV and still the graphics dont really impress me to be honest. but again, just my opinion. (yes they are better then cod5, but then the last 5 games ive played have been better then cod5)
i dont want a game that i have to play co-op to enjoy it, i want it resi evil old style, if playing co-op is the only way to enjoy it then it cant be a good game really can it. (based on the demo)
I still think the controls are awkward, but then again your right in the respect im comparing them to older titles (and i i suppose theres only so much you can do with sony’s controller)..
I just get annoyed while playing the demo lol. everything seems awkward, shooting people, running is terrible, moving is terrible, if you bump into something slightly you stop running, the enemies AI is terrible, the game is very linear…
i dunno im just moaning now… just expected the demo to sell the game, but in fact its done the opposite.
What is everyone talking about?? The demo was just like RE4, which is awesome. And Uncharted 2??? Most of the compliments I hear about uncharted are the most mundane details imaginable. “Ooooooo, Drake flinches when hes in cover and bullets hit the rock next to him”. Big deal….That like making Pac-man start sweating when ghosts get close to him. It’s a neat effect, but has NO bearing on the gameplay.
Also, lets address the term LINEAR. People are using that as though its bad. RE4 was pretty linear and thats EXACTLY how the game was supposed to be and it worked out great. Remember mega man X for snes? You walk to the right. That is as linear as you can get, and it was awesome. Now, mega man zx2 for DS. The open world, walk anywhere aspect of that game is it’s main crippling feature.
So to all you babies that want to see Chris Redfield shed a single tear when he runs low on ammo, it’s prpbably not gonna happen. Everyone else who’s stoked to play an awesome game when it releases, I’ll see you online then!

the only people i know who liked it are the very few people on this site who defend it, as if its a member of their family. if you like it, cool. Go buy it.
Ive loved all the resi evils (less so the survivor series), and have been waiting for 5 ever since i bought the dreaded gamecube to play 4 and zero. Ijust wasnt expecting to play such an undramatic, clunky controlled, better graphics version of resi 4.
maybe the demo didnt do it justice and those small areas that arnt remotly terrifying or scary, that we do get to play are just a taste of things to come. And maybe we get treated to some amazing set pieces and bosses, ( i really do hope so )
they could have showcased the game a bit better i guess, i know for fact they have lost sales based on the demo.purely coz of the amount of people that hated it. its meant to be worse on 360 too lol.
its the little things which add to the gameply that matter with new games. even some thing as small as the plants on the demo. they are like unpenatrable blocks of steel! i bumbed into it without touching it lol! i know its minor detail, but the first thing that came to mind was “shoddy”.
the reason why the little tweaks effect gameplay is coz ive alread played 3rd person zombie shooters/puzzlers. They cant do much with that, resi evil will always be that. but they need to expand on it, make certain elements more realistic, make the character so human that when a zombie attacks you, you are scared! iwas so uneffected by the black- zombie people i actually began to laugh at how silly they are. espcially with how unhuman chris is and how invincible he seems to be.
just need a lot more to games now, if i wana play a standard game with good graphics looks like i will buy resi 5. (obv many other games too)
I have not played RE sice the first 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it a close friend who never even heard of the series has become devoted to it and he comes over to play some offline co-op every evening hes now buying it on release saving me money lol ill have to go over to his now

the demo does seem akward but if u keep playing it then it will grow on to you
this game will be biggest flop of 2009, tried telling my mate that but he’s foaming at the mouth for it. it’s got trophies though so i’ll no doubt borrow it off him.
this is gonna be the best game by a mile, co-op is brill. and the dino game was dino crisis.
STUPID IA: the zombies, dogs and whatever else run to you and so they simply stop beside you and hesitate a little before attacking you.
BAD GAMEPLAY: you can’t walk/run and shoot simultaneously. So you have to run far away from the enemies, them turn around and shoot them. This is the worse point in this game.
BAD GRAPHICS: Like sam4sonia said, the plants and some other objects seem untouchable and some other things look terrible, like the clothes hanging on the clothes line. They are static, like there’s no wind around it.
That’s my point of view. RE was good only on PlayStation One. Now I can’t see any innovation from Capcom.

yes u can, u can play all of the story mode online, i got this game on thursday 3/5/2009 and i already finished it, simply its AWESOME!!and i got 43% of the trophies if u dont believe me add me and compare the trophies and you’ll see

Just wondering how noone seems to be able to say that this game isnt going to be crap but it isnt goin to be great either .
The main problems of this game is what alot of RE followers love .
– The crap inventory system , yeah RE fans it sucks
– The controls are clunky , turning is terrible
– Face it running and gunning may not be a good idea but at least walking and shooting would make the game alot better
– Few other small things but the demo did suck , sorry fans it just wasnt good , although it did well on selling me not to buy it.

Yea dizzle22 I agree, the demo sucked big time. I never really liked any of the other RE games but I think i will rent it just because of the hype. There has been so much build up to RE5 and I hope it caan live up to it(though it probably wont)
i miss the t virus zombies the new ones are not even zombies which has put me off. the old ones were great and this is awful just like resi 4 i know its supposedly the greatest game on ps2 but this is my opinion so dont swear and curse at me a modern remake of resi 3 would be brilliant that was my favourite

well of course it outclasses killzone but killzone 2 is much better… u should check it out.
Save someone special: When your in dying mode sheeva will heal you. keep pressing O after it to make him say thank you. if you keep doin it eventually you will get it.
stab in the heart: to get this you have to knock one of them slimy bloody creatures that climb on the walls on their back run over to them nd stab him in the heart. (you have to be player 1 to get this trophy).

i didn’t get the trophy the first few times cuz always accidentally killed her on the first round of tries i did get it when i finally did it perfectly on th first go without any continues after the fight began. (The fight with jill) Ihave found all emblems and treasers also if anyone needs help
does it count if i shot it and removed it off? because i did that and i didnt get the trophy..and also the wesker one i didnt get..i shot him..he left and no trophy i dont know why..
